Hey moms! So my son's school had a bunch of pets that needed homes to go to for the summer.. He didnt want the rabbit, the hamsters, or the fish. He wanted the garden snakes! Ew!
Well, long story short, the science teacher forgot to mention that you can not put the snakes in the same tank! Just now, while feeding them worms, the slightly larger snake went for the smaller snakes worm and in the process, tore the smaller snake's jaw open and there is blood in the tank!

Do you guys know where i can drop the injured snake? I would like to take it to the ASPCA and leave it there since i cant have 2 snakes in the same tank.. but idk if they'll take it. Seems from their site, they only deal with cats and dogs...

Thanks

Edit: i forgot to mention the teacher gave us the option to keep the snakes (my son is one of her favorites).

What can I do next?

OMG
You poor Mom. What a problem huh?

Try calling some 24 emergency pet Doc or shelter.
Maybe they will know???

Get another container for the other snake.
Doesn't have to be a 'tank'... just another container.
Maybe a plastic bin???

Do you know how to get a hold of the Teacher???

I mean, I wouldn't get rid of the snake, without telling him/her?
Try calling the school, have them forward your message to the Teacher and say it is an emergency!
And tell them it is about his/her classroom snake...

Try the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan - on the East Side.
