I was wondering if anyone has ideas for a venue to hold a 4yr old's birthday party in the Algonquin, IL area?

So What Happened?

I ended up having the party at Chuck E. Cheese's in Crystal Lake and all of the kids had a great time! I did feel a little rushed by the staff because they had so many parties planned for that day, but overall it was a positive experience especially for the price!

Is Elgin too far? There is a wonderful recreation place called "The Centre of Elgin" that has an indoor pool that starts at 0 depth, slides, etc. that is available for parties.
I'm not sure if there is a Chuck E Cheese's near you, but kids always love those too! Or Fudruckers might be another good restaurant place.
You didn't mention when the birthday is, so I'm assuming it is soon, but if it is in a warmer month, you could always opt for a local park.

Hi T.,

Huntley Gymnastics is a good place and reasonably priced. It is located on Ruth Road off Algonquin Road between Randall and Rte. 47 (right across from the Huntley Library). Another good place is Pump it Up in Lake in the Hills on Rakow just before Rte. 31; however, the cost is higher here. Both places are a lot of fun, burns a ton of energy, is good for both girls and boys and the kids have a blast. Both places also allow for you to bring in cake, etc.

Hope this helps!

T.,
HI there, I just joined this forum and was looking at older enties. I am sure you already had you party. I wanted to let you know about what I do. I am an independent crew members for Noah's Ark Animal Workshops. It is a stuff-n-fluff animal workshop that COMES TO YOU! Kind of like build a bear but not need to leave the house. Look at my website and maybe next time you could consider it. We are also always looking for new crew members.

I had a party last April at the pizza place on Algonquin rd near the river.....Nero's. They are one of the few places I could find that didn't charge per head. I just ordered the food I wanted and that's all I had to pay. The staff was really nice and helped out alot and they let me put up some decorations and everything. I think the management has changed since so I am not sure if they still have the same policies, but it just seemed every other place wanted to charge me quite a bit per person.

My daughter turned 4 in December. Chuck E. Cheese in Crystal Lake was really a great venue. We just limited the number of children we invited to ten, seven came which was more than enough. I've since heard that you are actually only supposed to invite the number of children that is the same age as the child will be. For the child's sake, it is overwhelming. The kids all had a great time and the staff was wonderful serving the children and the adults as well. One place to give you feed back about. Best of luck!
