My Kindergartener is not the easiest pupil to manage (possible ADHD--awaiting an appt with a ped neurologist), so glowing reports from school are pretty rare. Today he had a note in his backpack saying that he had a GREAT day! He was so proud of himself, but something told me something was up....

2 hrs after we got home he spiked a fever. Yep, he's REALLY easy to manage when he's getting sick, LOL.

Anyways, yesterday he said such a funny thing to me...

Him: Mommy, how am I going to go potty when I'm an old man.
Me: The same way you do now.
Him: Yeah, but how am I going to get out of my wheelchair?

Love him!!

Anyone else have a funny story for the day?

What can I do next?

Yesterday after school my ten year old son said "Something amazing happended today. I didn't get in trouble even once today for talking in class!" I'm thinking "Okayyyyy, I didn't know that was a huge issue." but I just said " Great! I'm glad you had a good day. Let's keep it up."

My daughter, who's 5, told me that it would make her happy if we could rhyme words every day, so we do that on our way to school. Today I said "how about my pie?" and she said, "Mom, I'm done rhyming words now. But that was a good try." :-)

Today we were in the middle of our Girl Scout field trip. We went to a local italian restaurant where the girls (all 14 of them!) were invited into the kitchen to make pizza and the manager talked a little about restaurant etiquette. In the middle of his speech, a 1st grader raised her hand and said "I lost my tooth" - random, but the big burly manager looked a little frazzled and said, "right now, here, do we need to find it??" Too funny. This same girl was asking him if she could be a waitress a little later on.

We listen to country music. I have been stuck on Eric Church for a while now. One of the songs we hear almost daily is "Drink In My Hand". My 5-year-old loves the song. Yesterday, my son asked, "Mom, why is Eric Church always so thirsty?"

Tee hee!!

Not something she said but something that happened:

I purposely did NOT buy toothpaste when I went to the store because I had seen that there was a new box in the bathroom cabinet. I go to get out the new toothpaste this morning and to my surprize there was no tube of toothpaste in the box at all :(. Instead of finding a new tube of toothpaste I discover Tianna's hiding spot for her HARMONICA!!!! I would be mad but I'm laughing too hard.

this morning out of nowhere, our little doggie had a very ugly seizure. My twin seven year old boys were understandably concerned and knew I was taking Frodo to the vet as soon as they went to school. One of them looked at me with such a sad look and said, "oh, I hope the vet doesn't have to "lay Frodo down" LOL, of course he meant "put him down" :-)

I picked my 6 year old son up from school yesterday and he gets in the car...

Son: Mommy I want a brother and a sister.
Me: You do?
Son: Yes, I think we should just buy them!
Me: Wellll it doesn't really work like that, a baby grows in a mommy's belly.
Son: Well I think you should eat more and than you will grow a baby.

The other nite I was putting my six year old son to bed and this is our conversation...

Son: Mommy, I don't know if EVER I will get married!
Me: Why is that?
Son: I don't think that I will EVER find me a girl!
Me: Well, you have a long time before you need to worry about it.
Son: Well, can I just marry you so that I can save time?

LOL, where do they get this stuff?
