I Need Recomendations for a GREAT High Risk OBGYN

I'm looking for some advice w/ finding an OBGYN. Not just any, but one that is great w/ high risk patients. I have very hard pregnancies and I'm very leary about going to a OBGYN that won't have "patience" or be able to fit me in right away if the need arises.

What can I do next?

I was not high risk during pregnancy but recently went into preterm labor and had my daughter at 33 weeks. I was transferred to Harris Methodist downtown Ft. Worth (because my hospital didn't have an adequate NICU) and was under the care of Dr. Thigpen. He was a WONDERFUL doctor, and I highly recommend him to others.

Good luck . . .

We are also military, so I know he takes our insurance!!! :)

Edited to add: I didn't realize the advice before me recommended the same doctor!!! And someone mentioned Dr. Tabor. He is in the same practice and is actually the doctor that delivered me. I didn't like him as much as Dr. Thigpen, but mainly because the first time I met him, he was delivering my daughter.

I don't know the doctor's number but I am sure you can find him in the directory. His name is Dr. Tatum and he did my sisters twins and my other friends baby when she had to have surgery!!! I will try to find his number but he is GREAT!!!

I live in FW, but my OBGYN is in Dallas at Medical City off of Forest and 75. He is WONDERFUL! I myself did not have a high risk pregnancy, but my girlfriend who uses him does and she had TWO EXTREMELY high risk pregnancies and she loves him. Personally, I have recommeded him to all my friends and every one that has gone to him loves him. His name is Dr. Robert Milstein ###-###-####). Good Luck!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have no idea what that must be like to go through. I have a wonderful doctor, but he is in Irving. I don't know if you want to drive that far, but to me he's worth it. He has made it to where I have two wonderful children when I didn't think I was ever going to have any. I have driven to Irving to see him for over 15 years now. His name is Dr. Peter Sakovich, http://www.macobgyn.com/about.html
Good luck and best wishes to you!

Hi M.!! My name is K. Simmons. My OBGYN was awesome. He is in Fort Worth, the Hulen/I-20 area. His name is David McAlpine. He is wonderful and is a fertility specialist so I am guessing he deals with high-risk frequently. He delivered all three of my babies and I just love him. You might check him out.
Good luck to you!! :)
