I am a stay at home mom. My 4 year old goes to school on Tuesday and Thursday during the week and I am left with my 3 year old nephew. He was orginally supposed to be put in a MDO program on t-th but his mother never did it. I need some desperate help, if anyone knows a MDO that is affordable in the Duncanville, Grand Prairie, or Arlington area that is accepting 3 year olds please let me know. I am attending school on these days and I can't keep skipping class.

I am not sure what hours you are looking for but I will have an opening on those two days for a 3 year old starting next week. You can check out my web site at www.mtckc.com to see if it would be something you are intested in checking out more. I do have a MDO program but it is from 10 -3. I have a web page for that on there as well. Let me know if I can help.

R. - Obviously it's not your nephews fault but his mother does need to step up and take responsibility for her child. The only reason they leave him with you is because you allow it. Set your priorities and put your foot down. If they live with you, then take a second look at that arrangement. If you live with them, do the same. You are working towards your goals to be a better example and mother for your child, why should your nephews mother be able to step on your dreams? If she cannot take care of her child, then maybe the father or another relative should be involved in the situation.

It only becomes your responsibility if you let it.
Be strong, stand your ground and push his mother to take responsibility for her own child.

All the best,
C.

Check out First United Methodist Church in Duncanville or Hillcrest Baptist Church. I know of some in Ovilla too. But that might be too far.

Hey there! Call The Oaks Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. They have a MDO program on T-TH from 9 until 2pm and I think it is about $110 a month. If you call, ask for Jennifer Brunson and tell her TJ referred you to the program. I hope this helps!
