Hylands Teething Tablets - Aliso Viejo, CA

My daughter got her first tooth without any incident two weeks ago. We had no idea she sprouted a tooth until she was playing with my husbands hand and stuck his finger in her mouth. Now however, we think she's getting ready to cut her second tooth because she's been fussy and very sensitive. We bought the Hylands Teething Tablets because we see that mostly everyone seems to highly recommend them, but I'm not sure how to give them to her. Our daughter is 7 months old. Do we really use them as directed on the bottle... sticking them under her tongue?

What can I do next?

I have always used them, my oldest is 13 yrs old!
I just put them one at a time on my 7 month old's tongue and they dissolve easily, he loves them.

When my boys were too little to have a pill in their mouth, I was instructed by their Pediatrician to drop them into their bottle of milk, formula or water and it seemed to work. Later, when they could stand having a little pill in their mouth, I would stick one in to the side of their mouth near their cheek..it worked the same for my boys as if I had stuck it under their tongue. Good luck!

Just pop them in her mouth...they'll be gone in an instant. God Bless Hylands!!!

Some babies will be fine with just being able to knaw on something... my kids liked frozen wash cloths.

If she gets real uncomfortable and distressed from the pain and has trouble sleeping... then you can try some kind of medicine.

I have found that Motrin (for infants) are best for pain related things.. .and Tylenol for fever. Motrin lasts longer and acts quicker. But as always, ask your Pediatrician first.

Good luck!

Yes, just as directed.
They melt pretty quickly. So there's really very little chance of choking.

I highly recommend the Hyland's ear tablets also---my son got sooo many ear infections during the winter season---
I discovered them the first year he had an ear infection---think he was 2--he's 10 now. It kept recurring and meds from the pediatrician did not work at all--so I tried them and they completely cleared within 2 days!!!
I'm a believer and always rather give homeopathics than pharmeceuticals.

I don't think it's necessary that they go under the tongue, just probably melt faster that way. Most babies like them. My son likes to chew them. :)

yes you just stick them under the tongue (or as close to it lol). i didnt care for those with my daughter. also my daughter pedi. said that they only last like 5 mins. i loved however the gentle naturals teething drops those are a life saver!

Hi i still use the teething tablits for my 14month old son. They work wonders. i love them. what i do is i put 2 or 3 in his bottle they desolve quickly and u dont have to try getting them under the tongue.

you can even just rub them on her teeth....then she'll just lick them off. :)

ps- they melt instantly
