Hi, my daughter is 22 and in 2009 surgeon removed a fatty tumor because she was having a horrible pain all the time, a lot of times to emergency room, drs., were thinking she just want to get high, because she was getiting pain killer thru the iv, after dr. removed the fatty tumor, pain was gone, now since 2 weeks ago, my poor daughter is going thru the same pain, vomiting, nausea, she can't eat that much.,
drs, can't figure out what is wrong, catscan, xrays, ultrasound, all looks good, but in 2009 was the same story, she has appointment with the same surgeon until the feb 9,
Does anybody have any experience of what could be?
Dr. prescribed vicodin, percocet, norco, and pain doesn't go away, until they put something into the iv, and she finally can sleep.
Does anybody has the same problem, because we are living a night mare right now, I can't see her with pain, she has to bent over in order to comfort the pain, please any ideas what could be?????

What can I do next?

I'm really sorry to hear that your daughter's suffering. It's hard for any of us to say what could be wrong with her. I can only wish you and your daughter the best of luck.

Has she been checked for appendicitis and gall bladder? I had stones in both of mine and NEITHER of them showed up in my bloodwork and I only had "faint shadowing" on all of the scans. I had to have exploratory surgery done for both for the actual issue to be found.

pancreatitis or gastroparesis could also explain pain in that area, especially considering the medications she has been on. There is also times when the brain learns to feel pain, despite there being no more physical cause, it still hurts. Something like phantom limb pain... happens with other issues too.

This could be worth a try. Have you thought of taking her to a holistic practitioner? My nephew was having stomach pain, nausea, etc. They couldn't figure out anything wrong with him. Blood tests, x rays, ultrasound, scans. Finally when they were at their wits end and had spent hundreds of dollars in bills an co pays, they took him to a natural health doc. She figured out what was wrong. You could look up an iridologist or natural health practitioner and give it a shot.
