Hoag Hospital Affiliated OB GYN

I am recently on a new insurance plan and looking for a great OB GYN. My husband and I are trying to conceive and I would like to get in now with someone that can walk me through the whole process. I am located near Hoag Hospital and would prefer it for my place of delivery.

What can I do next?

Yes, There is a great one Affilliated with Hoag Hospital, her whole staff is great. Every one in this office is awesome. Her name is Dr. Flora she is on Avocado in Newport Beach, kinda near Fashion Island. If she is not taking new patients anyone in her office is super.

The number there is ###-###-####. Good Luck, she also deals with Infertility.

I have seen Dr. Linh Dan Nguyen for years and she is awesome! She is very straight forward with her patients AND she delivers ALL of her patient's babies herself. That for me was a huge plus just knowing that I wouldn't have an on call MD. She is young, energetic and really knows her stuff! She has an office in Fountain Valley but delivers at Hoag and Orange Coast Medical. Her number is ###-###-####. I know you have many other great referrals and yes, Hoag is awesome. I worked there for 8 years. Good luck!

Dr Wheeler is fabulous! He is right accross the street. I delivered twins in April and he was wonderful.

I LOVE Dr. Feldman at Newport Beach OBGYN. He is at the building across from HOAG. He delivered both my girls.

Dr. Patricia Strachen, has an office in Irvine and Newport Beach. Very gentle and patient. I believe he office is called Doctor's Office for Women. She delivered my first baby at Hoag. Good luck!

Hi K.,
I go to Dr. Karamardian. She is in a group in Fashion Island and she is one of the best there is. She is a little "to the point" but I trust her and her reputation as a OBGYN and surgeon is that she is the best.
Hope that helps!

Check out the Doctors Office for Woman. There is one in Irvine and one in Newport Beach by Hoag. I used to use Dr. Hsu there and would recommend her but she left the office to stay home with her daughter. So, I know the NB office is pretty full since the other two doctors had to split Dr. Hsu's load. However, the one in Irvine has a Dr. Grouse and I think one other, so you may want to try one of them. Whether or not they are taking new patients, it is definitely worth a try...I love it there and they all deliver at Hoag!

K., I delievered 3 years ago at Hoag about 9 days after the women's pavillion opened and had a wonderful experience. Dr's Office for Women is a great practice of about 7 female doctors. Some of them don't deliver babies, but about half of them do. There are 3 offices (one right near the hospital, one in Fashion Island, and one in Irvine on Barrance near Yale Loop). I think the Fashion Island office is the office dedicated to older women (no obstetrics). I have been with 3 different doctors in this practice due to my changing needs. I had some problems conceiving our daughter, then my OB stopped delivering babies right after our daughter was born and I'm now seeing a 3rd doctor who just happened to be the doctor on call the night my baby was born. My current doctor is Patricia Strachan and she's at the Irvine office. The number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I LOVE Dr. Weatherford Clayton. His office is located across from Hoag Hospital. He delivered both my girls. He is so very accessible. You never have to see a nurse practioner as he is almost always available. He is personable, he listens, he takes his time with you. He treats you as a whole person. With my first, he must of stopped by the hospital 3 times during my long labor overnight. And, he wasn't even on call. And of course, he was there for the delivery--with his calm and reassuring demeanor!

Seriously, I wouldn't even consider anyone else. I tried others, and was very disappointed in their lack of accessibility and the way they didn't know me at all each time I walked in..

Good luck to you!

I have been going to Dr. Debra Grouse for many years. She delivered for both of my pregnancies, including my c-section with twins. She is located in Irvine and is affliated with Hoag Hoaspital. There are several doctor's in her office and it is called Doctor Office for Women. Good Luck!
