Help...Hair Is Thinning and Skin Is Out of Control

I need serious advice about skin and thinning hair since I've had my second son in August 2008!:(
I have never had skin problems until now, break-outs and pimples. Saw a doctor she prescribed a medication (to use when ever I break out, not all the time) and low hormone contraceptive. It's been about 2 months and I see slight improvement, but now I feel like my skin is going back to the early breakouts and itchiness. I use a good skin moisturizer and hardly wear make up at all, if I have to its mineral powder.
Do I need to get regular facials? Can anyone recommend someone that is knowledgeable and cheap :) in the Allen area?
My hair use to be so thick, not it's just blah....again I get a trim every 4-6 weeks and use good shampoo and conditioner. How do I stop the breakage and bring it back to life, again with out breaking the bank?
I know these sounds so vane and mindless issues, but I have been going through a lot and this is just making me more depressed and not so confident anymore. I am starting to feel old-I turned 40 in October :(
Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I would go back and talk to your doctor about it - it definitely sounds like a hormone issue - some blood work would probably find out what's out of whack. In the meantime - I love Proactiv - my skin used to break out pretty bad and it has done wonders for me. Good luck!

It's not vain! I think it's even more important for moms who take care of everybody else to take care of themselves. As for the hair and skin, I use products that have some scientific ingredients and some natural, and that has balanced me out. Plus, I am still on my prenatal vitamins b/c I'm nursing and that has helped my hair and nails.
I know you're selling Avon, but the company I work for offers work from home opportunities where you can make residual income. If you're interested, in the products or the business, let me know. I live in Frisco and my email is ____@____.com

Hi A.

40 is not old and your shouldn't feel that way. I'm almost 52. I am so sorry your situation is making you depressed and less confident. It sounds like you have had a stressful year and that is probably not helping your skin and hair problems. Try finding a yoga or meditation class to go to, it can help alleviate some of your stress and help you feel better about yourself.
I own my own business and use natural skincare and health products and I have seen an amazing difference in both my outer and inner health. Please feel free to contact me if you would like more information or if I can help you in anyway.

All the best to you
