Help! Hubby Got Laid off This Morning with No Warning!

My DH got laid off this morning from ATA Airlines with no warning at all! We got a 1 week paycheck and have health insurance until the end of the day. Any help and prayers would be greatly appreciated from you all. I am going to apply for government insurance for my kids immediately and some school lunch program. If anyone knows of any decent paying jobs that offer health insurance, please let me know! (Besides Starbucks and some other places, I mean a decent paying job for him, I will find one myself) He is an aircraft mechanic, but can fix or do anything. Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

My Husband works for ATMOS gas company..they are hiring NOW. I know the Farmer's branch location is hiring for sure. The have great benifits from blue cross/blue shield and cover the employee 100% and it starts the very first day of employment. You have to apply online on the Atmos website.

Good Luck!!!

If your husband is actually a trained mechanic, my husband might be interested in speaking with him about a job. My husband is a supervisor for a major natural gas company and is always interested in finding people with a strong mechanical background. He doesn't have to have specific experience working on natural gas compressors, but needs to have mechanic experience. Please respond with your husband's contact information and a little about his work experience if interested.

My husband was laid off 2 years ago w/o warning and it was really painful. He found a job 4 months later that was even better than the old one.

Hang in there! My prayers are with you and your family.

Here are two openings in Colleyville I am aware of..the Colleyville Chamber has an opening for a full-time events and programs Coordinator and Nestle in Colleyville is looking for an entry level manager. Maybe one of these would work for your husband. Let me know if you need more information.
