Has Anyone Tried More Milk Plus?

I was wondering if anyone has used More Milk Plus to increase their milk supply. If so, were there any side effects? How much did you need to take a day for it to work? And, how well did it work?

I took it and did notice it helped my supply a bit. I took it mostly during my period because my supply would crash each month during that time. My Lactation Consultant finally told me about taking Calcium with Magnesium every day, and it stopped the crashing, as long as I remembered to take it. I took Nature's Sunshine brand- 2 tablets twice/day.

Hi...sorry to be responding late, but I wanted to let you know that I did use the More Milk Plus and it DID help me. I used the liquid tincture and purchased it at Fruitful Yield. I also recommend that you go to www.herblore.com they have some great information and the tea was helpful also.

there are many questions.. why do you think you have a milk supply issue? i think this is an excellent product but it is not a replacement for a baby being latched on well and removing milk well.

I took it to help me pump more at work. I did see a boost in supply. I would take the capsules (2-3 pills, 3 times a day). The only side effect I noticed was that I would burp that fennel/maple syrup taste a bit. But, I felt fine and my baby didn't notice. One word of caution, if you do decide to take it, don't stop taking it cold turkey. Once you start, you have to keep taking it or wean off it slowly. Otherwise, your supply can crash.

If you don't see an increase with this supplement, there is also domperidone. It is not approved in the US, because of patent issues. It is perfectly safe to take and will increase your supply, as well. You can buy it online.

I have used it and found no side efects except the taste! there is the pill form, liquid form and tea form. The tea was probobly least effective. I didn't notice a huge increse. I had better luck with beer, slightly controversial but for me it was worth it (other countries are big on this meathod) Drink a beer before bed time and in the morning you'll be full as can be. Different beer works better then others. I would not do this everyday, it becomes ineffective if done that frequently. I have heard the oatmeal has a similiar effect.
