Hair Stylist Needed - Minneapolis,MN

I am getting married in just over a month and do not yet have anyone to do my hair/makeup. The wedding is in downtown Minneapolis and I do not have a regular stylist anywhere (I typically go to the Aveda Institute but do not feel entirely comfortable going there for this specific service). Does anyone have any Salon or individual they are comfortable recommending for this special need (I would entertain having someone come to the hotel room to complete the service)?

What can I do next?

M.,
I have never been disappointed by a stylist at the Juut salons. I've seen Woody and Charlie at the downtown salon. But I regularly see a girl named Kelsey in Wayzata. She's worth the drive. Also, I have a close friend who is a licensed esthetician and her passion is make-up, which she does free-lance. She's incredibly diverse/creative in the looks she offers, she's done plenty of weddings, including mine. Let me know if you would like her info.
Congratulations!
A.

Hi M.

I know a stylist -- Kathy Babcock. She works at Total Image of Edina ###-###-####. She definitely enjoys doing the styling for weddings (one of her specialities). I don't know if she can travel to meet you at the hotel, but I certainly think it would be worth inquirying and perhaps setting up an initial meeting to discuss your wishes would help to ensure you are comfortable with her services and ability to meet your needs.

As far as make-up. I would recommend M. Reisenauer. She is an independent Sales Director for Mary Kay and provides complimentary makeovers all the time. In fact, weddings, anniversaries, or special events is certainly an area where she loves to help make a woman feel and look her best.

She has been in business for 4-5 years, does a terrific job of matching the right colors for an individual and outfit, definitely knows a lot about skin care, and is passionate about servicing her clients. She goes above and beyond any retail store or salon I know that provides make-up.

As an added note, M. knows Kathy so depending on whether you see Kathy at her studio or not, I am sure M. would be more than willing to come to your hotel to help get your make-up right for the wedding day.

Again, I would suggest talking with M. so you can discuss what you feel you want and how she may be able to meet that need.

M. can be reached at ###-###-####.

Congratulations on the upcoming change in your life and family.
S.

Hi. I know a bunch of great make-up and hair people because I work on photo shoots in town. Many of the artists do quite a lot of weddings. I think you might like Rene Rattler, who can be reached at ###-###-####. I can provide you with some other names, if you need more. I've worked with Rene for the past ten years, along with many other wonderful artists. Good luck!
