Hi, ok I had my first mamo done and they see something in my left boob... I know being it's my base line that they don't have anything to compare it to. They had me go and get a sonogram done and being I'm large on top they can't see it that way. I now have to go and have a MRI with contrast done so they can give a "name" to what this is I was told. I'm making my self crazy thinking about the what if this and what if that. I just have had so many negative things going on that it's hard for me to stay positve. My dad just passed away from cancer 2 months ago my uncle 3 weeks before him from cancer and my aunt (not cancer) just passed away saturday...and my mom is recovering from surgery due to kidney cancer. SO I guess this doesn't help me to stay positive! Well my question to you is have you or anyone you know had a MRI done for this? and I hope it was nothing to worry about! My GYN told me not to make my self sick and that it's tiny what ever it is. Thanks in advance for any info you give me.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hi! Well I ended up going Wednesday for a needle core biopsy... and found out today that everything came back fine! It turned out to be extra breast tissue. I go back in 6 months for follow up. What a scare. I thank my dad he put in a good word to God for me! See you all where right with what you told me! Thanks.

Hi
I had EXACTLY the same thing happen at my first mammo. It went so far as to have a punch biopsy. NOTHING wrong!!! There is history on my mom's side, so I was worried and extra careful. Dont panic. It is probably nothing but have the tests to rule it out. Better safe than sorry, better catch something early than late. But it is probably nothing~ Hang in there~

Your gonna make yourself sick. If it is Cancer and it is small you caught it early enough to prevent any further damage. But it could be a cyst, which are nothing really and my mom is full of them; but she is fairly large, like abnormally so. It could be calcium deposits, it could be a lot of non-harmful things. If your affraid of cancer, I recommend straight carrot juice. Buy a juicer and make it at home. Carrots for some reason seem to be packed with a lot of nutreints that drive away cancer and help with your sight. I have seen it help not once but 3 times, unless all 3 are flukes. Good luck and be opptomistic! Think positive!

My photo had lots of little white dots that could be cancer starting and it turned out to be calcium deposits. Some breasts are more dense and have fibrous material in them (one of mine does) and that makes it harder to get a good photo as well. No need to get all worried, it could be many benign things.
EVEN if it is cancer, I had a girlfriend have radical mastectomy, preventative on both breasts, and she was cancer free after that. So if it is small, EVEN if (and probably it is not) something, it can simply be removed. But most likely it is calcium deposits.

Hang in there!!! I know I am not in your shoes however, if you are larger on top then the tissue is more dense. The docs are covering their bases. Once this is done and over with you'll be happy you did it.

What is the worst that could happen? If it is something you would have caught it early and treatable but this is extreme thinking.

Most likely it is extra fatty tissue or calcium deposits or benign cyst. You'll be ok and sending you hugs and prayers.

Hi GG,

To help you stay positive...a few years ago (at age 62), I was about to go under the knife for a biopsy. I was on the table already. The doctor took an x-ray on the computer and saw that the lump was no longer there! What a relief...no biopsy! I had prayed on it from the first "diagnosis" and sincerely believe that we control our bodies. Our thoughts make a big difference in our health. So it is important to stay positive. If you're not "into prayer", try visualization instead. You could also try paying a touch healer for assistance if you're new to the game.

Blessings to you,

o many time they find something that turn out to be nothing! My mom ha had 2 scares, nothing! I also have large breasts and they found something on me also. Again, nothing.(I did not have to have an MRI.) Your Dr. said whatever it is, it's small. So, if it turns out to be something, more than likely you have caught it early. Try to stay positive. I am sorry for all the grief you have had lately. Wishing you the best.

I had the same issue for my baseline and they told me that the majority of people have to come back for a second look for their baseline. I was freaking out too! I know it is easier said than done, but don't make yourself crazy!

Hi GG

Sorry to hear that you're going through another stressful situation. As hard as it is, you have to try to not worry about it. Like everyone else said it's probably nothing. Every year my mom had her mammogram she would have to follow it up with what felt like a million other tests. She had fat deposits that were picked up in the mammo and then they'd always have to check them... there was never anything more! From what I've heard from other women, its pretty normal to have to follow up a mammogram with more testing.

My Mom had a scare like this, and it turned out to be some sort of calcium deposit? Freaked me out but it turned out to be nothing. I know it seems impossible to ease your mind when you're waiting to find out about something like this, but this too shall pass. I will shoot up a prayer for you!

I just want to tell you how sorry I am for all of your losses. It can't be easy to play this waiting game with all the worst scenarios running through your head on the heals of three people passing. Try to keep positive, like most of the ladies have said, chances are it is a calcium deposit.

I will keep you in my thoughts!
