Guilty Tv Pleasures

leah's cooking show question got me started! i used to be snotty about how little tv i watched. then i was scornful of 'reality tv.' well, life makes you eat your words (usually while watching top chef desserts.) my men are having themselves a big time making fun of me, and i suppose i deserve it. because i frequently get caught watching america's next top model.
what's your guilty tv treat?
(::::deathless intonation:::::::: six beautiful young ladies stand before me, but i only have five photos in my hand, and these photos represent the girls who are still in the running to become america's next top model. same words. same tone. same expression, every time. same fake hugs to the girls whose hearts she rips out and tromps all over. what is WRONG with me?????)

I accidentally got trapped by an episode of celebrity wife swap. It was Gary Bussey and that preacher. I was flippin past it and got stuck. It was fascinating. I wanted to change the channel, but I just couldn't. It was entrhalling.

My other one is Biggest Loser. The guilty part is I'm sitting on my couch, eating and thinking how thin I am compared to them! I'm a terrible person.

I love the ID channel. All the crime shows. If I watch them enough and I ever need to, I will be able to pull off the perfect crime. lol In all seriousness it amazes me with how they can solve some of them with only 1 string.

Hoarders is my other one. Its SO distgusting.. but yet I watch it all the time. Makes me feel better about my house lol

I am so guilty
I never miss the Real Housewifes of whatever city is on when I turn on the TV. I usually turn the TV on at noon when I'm fixing lunch and around 7 when I'm fixing dinner.
If no housewifes I watch court in session, I watched the whole Cassey Anthony (oh, God, shoot me Now!!!)
And my husband watches the Price of Bel Air Every morning (For Years!!) and at night The King of Queens.

I love America's Next Top Model too!!! I usually don't admit it. LOL
This season I have really been into some of the new shows...
Prime Suspect
Once Upon A Time
Grimm
But I think the most embarassing show that I watch and I refuse to give it up is

Dance Mom's! (OMG...that show is just a train wreck and I love it!!)

My "guilty" pleasure ALSO is ANTM. My husband makes fun of me a little, but who cares. I love it.

Other shows aren't necessarily a guilty pleasure. I love Parenthood. Maybe Switched At Birth is a little tween-ish for my age to watch, but one day when bored on Netflix I started watching it. I think they're two episodes into the new shows, which I am now catching on hulu. Teen-drama, but interesting idea of two girls being switched at birth and now coming together.

My only other "guilty" one is maybe watching Xmen cartoons with my son. I remember watching it as a kid, so I like watching them again now. But I don't watch it when he's not up and awake, so it's not really something I go out of my way to watch.

@ Tracy - I watched a different episode of Celebrity Wife Swap on Hulu the other day. I think it is a show I may go back and 'have on' while I fold laundry or something. I watched the FlavorFlav episode. I will go back and watch Gary Busey ... that guy is crazy. I bet that episode was good.

added: Looks like I need to check out Dance Moms!

Ha, I am sure many of us (including my self) watch this kind of shows and keep it a secret.
I have a piece of paper my daughter did at school when she was little, the school keep it and gave it us with other bunch of papers at a school meeting.
So there I was sitting with moms around, we all making "awww's and ohhh's".
Then I see this one where there were to fill a few questions about their mom.
My mom favorite food, color, etc, and then: my mom's favorite tv show!
She goes and put "Girlfriends"!
Eat me earth!
That goes to teach me to either start watching History Channel only or to don't care about what others think about me, lol.

I looove those "Haunted" shows, particularly the ones featuring animals where they claim animals can sense ghosts and demons better than humans...they always bring in some ghostbusting team with their recorders and electromagnetic detectors and sometimes even a pet psychic. I am a total cynic, so those shows are just so much fun!

I have always been one of those, "I don't have time to watch TV" kind of women but.....................................I have suddenly found myself HOOKED to 3 shows. Two Broke Girls, Mike and Molly, and The Walking Dead. I HAVE to be home from the gym in time on Monday nights. Pathetic!

I don't watch much tv ... but I love Jersey Shore and if you knew me you'd never believe it! My husband thinks I'm crazy and can't stand that show but I love it! I've never lived their life style (met my hubby at 16, married at 22) and I've never been drunk - not even once - so it's super entertaining to me to watch them =)

I also love Supernanny and Wife Swap!

My husband and I watch Finding Bigfoot on Animal Planet. Oh my gosh, the show is ridiculous, but we love it Hahaha!

I have also watched every single episode ever made of ANTM. My best friend comes over every Wednesday and we watch it together... More than half the time, my husband watches it with us ;-)

Oh, I'm also completely addicted to Ghost Adventures...

Together my husband and I watch things on Netflix so we are a bit behind the times. Our guilty pleasures are 'The First 48', 'Bones' and 'The Closer.'

I have been watching PBS documentaries and programs since they are free and I don't have to hear my husband complain about the content/format/whatever.

My secret guilty pleasure - 'Downton Abbey.' I love that show.

I really like the cooking shows, NCIS, the early episodes of Ghost Whisperer, and Tabitha's Salon Makeover. I also really enjoy Holmes on Homes - he is magnificent. I am not personally good at making order out of chaos, but I sure like watching someone else do it! It reminds me of when I was at my best at problem solving!

I am *addicted* to TV. I feel bad about it and like to blame my husband - since I didn't own one before him.

I used to look fown on reality TV too, then there was this show on the SciFi channel about a witch, a vampire, and and and living in a house together...
