I would give money or a gift card.
An iTune gift card or a Fave gift card. They go crazy for these......
The only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is a really nice photo album so she can put pictures of the graduation or friends and family in it. It's fairly inexpensive and something she can use.
Since when is there a graduation from 8th grade?
What is it with all the "graduations" these days? Is it more of the "self-esteem building" method? I have read about "graduating" from 5th grade, too. As far as I can remember, and for both of my kids and the schools they are in, there was/is only Kindergarten graduation, high school graduation, and college graduation.... all the other stuff is just "made up" if you ask me. I don't know that I would "do" anything.... maybe send a card?
a gift card, unless you want to do something more personal which would be like a basket or gift bag of bath and body works (soaps and lotions).
