It's been a very long time since my husband saw just a general doctor. Wanted to get some names of MEN doctors in the Overland Park area.

Hi C., I think Dr. Rahto or Dr. Talbert are great for seeing guys. They are both at College Park Family Care on College and 110th Street. The phone number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps!

I worked with Dr. Charles Holbrook; ProPartners MD. Its an office just for men. Their website is www.beahealthyguy.com
I no longer work there because I decided to stay home and do daycare. Dr.Holbrook is great! He was an ER doc at St.Joe for somewhere in the ballpark of 18 years. He knows his stuff and also has a great bed side manor.

Good Luck!

I cannot rave enough about my family's general practitioner. His name is Dr. Gregory Sweat and he is with Georgetown Family Medical in the Shawnee Mission Medical Center area. If I remember correctly, he also specializes in sports medicine along with general practice. Super bedside manner, fabulous wealth of knowledge and great follow up. His nurse, Rita, is just as fabulous.

ETA: I just went back and read the other responses and I see that another responder likes Dr. Sweat, too!! He IS that good! His wife is urologist at KU (he is affiliated with KU somehow, I think). He is just really easy going without any of that "doctor" pretentiousness.

There is this doctors office on Antioch and about 133rd and 135th right next to the blockbuster and GNC. My husband really liked them there. It is called the Antioch family care center. They are really nice there..

I go to Town Center Plaza Family Pratice they are located right by Menorah Hospital in their doctor's building. They have a male doctor Randy Luzania, MD. They have great staff. Even better I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting room.

We have really liked Dr Greg Sweat. We switched to him after he was the "on call" doctor for our former doctor, and his thoroughness and "bedside manner" were so amazingly better that we were glad our own doc was not on call that night. We've never been sorry. His number is ###-###-####. His office is up around 75th & I35. We live in south OP, but it doesn't take long and he's worth the drive.

All of the doctors at Shawnee Mission Family Practice are great, and most of them are male. We see Dr. Navickas, but Broxterman, Thomsen, Mingle, and Murphy are all good, too. Navickas and Murphy both have a great sense of humor. I think my husband likes Murphy better, because he's a little more laid back. Navickas is more proactive, at least with us. I don't know if that's because he was my mom's doctor and mine since I was 15, so he knows the family history very well. Funny thing - he was sooo much older than me back then, and now we have kids the same age. Anyway, their number is ###-###-####.
