I know Gymboree has one class free plus Music for Aardvarks you can try them too for one class free. On the first of the month intheswing.biz in Waldwick has an open house in the am. I have an 18 month old and live in neighboring Passaic County so if you want to hang out let me know.

It's not an "activity," per se, but I've found that IKEA is a nice place to hang out with little ones. There is a play area in the cafe. The children's area (kids furniture and toys) is right next to the cafe and also has a play area. Around the corner (by the kids bedroom displays)there is a little slide that my daughter loves. There are stuffed animals, display beds to sit on... And the whole thing is free! (Though I usually at least purchase a cup of coffee or something.) It's a great place to run around when the weather is not nice. Go check it out.

Check out your local library. Ours, in Westwood, has unstructured playtime for 1-2 year olds on Friday mornings. For kids 2 years and older they have story times.
