We used Advanced Foundation which was recommended by 2 engineers we had out (one paid by us and one paid by our builder). The builder paid advanced foundation so I don't know how their rates compare.

We used Advanced Foundation. They were polite, competent, and professional. The workmen were fast, polite, and cleaned up the yard very well. Their work has a lifetime guarantee. We would use them again in an instant.

What kind of foundation do you have? We used David Weems about 3 years ago for our pier-and-beam in the historic district. He does EXCELLENT quality work, but is NOT fast--you may have to keep on top of him to make sure he gets the job finished in a timely manner. At the time, he just had too many projects going on at once--maybe with the economy now, he may be a bit less busy, and so speedier! GL!

I had some repairs done last June.
1rst I hired an independent Structural Engineer so I could get and idependent opinion, rather from the company that stands to gain from overquoting, and repairing.

I used Geo Dynamics http://www.geodynamicsdfw.com/index.html
Then since has has dealt was so many foundation repair companies, I asked for his opinion, and he have me 3 or 4
and I had also done some research on Beacon Reports and online etc. I ended up choosing Hargrave Custom Foundation Repair, Wylie, TX (I am in Frisco)- they were very responsive, and due to the fact that I only need 3 piers, they were more economical as other companies had a "minimum" and they did not.

Good Luck

P.,
I don't know of anyone in the Dallas area. I used to work for a Geotechnical Engineering firm in San Antonio. I'm not sure if you are putting a claim in on your insurance, however, your insurance company would know of some good places. Now if you are putting a claim on your insurance company, make sure the insurance company doesn't try to be the engineer. I noticed a lot more insurance companies try to be the agent and engineer. They would rather pay the homeowner the money without getting anything tested.
Good Luck, sorry I'm not of more help,
