I am writing in for a friend of mine. She has a two year old daughter thats been diagnosed with juvenile rhumidor arthritis ( spelling awful). Anyways lately she has been falling ill. Mainly fever and vomiting. It seems to similar to be different viruses and happening so close together. the rest of the family is not getting sick either. I am wondering now if it has something to do with her comdition. my friend doesnt know what to think and is missing alot of work which isnt good because she is the store mananger. she can only see the specialist once a month and caling in questins can take awhile for a response. So i was hoping someone out there would have some advice on the matter she is a pretty sick little girlie.

What can I do next?

I would take her to a Naturpath and some one who does viseral and craniosacral work. Also a chiropractor. I have not dealt with the arthritis in a child, but I do know many people can cure it ( I did ) with identifying what foods bother the person and removing them. When a child is having foods that they do not do well with the getting sick is one symptom and another is inflamation ( arthritis and other related things) It might be as simple as identifying her food sensitivities and removing those foods.

The body work and chiropractic will help the organs work better and help with nerve interference that might be causing some of the issue.

I don't know a lot of details, but reuhmatiod arthritis affects your joints, not your general health. I don't believe she is getting sick as a result of her condition. I think that is a seperate issue and I would suggest your friend calls her family doctor or pediatrician for advice on this rather then her arthritis specialist.

Has your friend's child been tested for celiac disease? CD is a complete intolerance to the gluten in wheat, barley, and rye. Oats are okay, ONLY if they come from a plant that doesn't also process the other three (in other words, Quaker Oats are a no-no). My friend's two boys have it, and in research, we've discovered that celiac can be an underlying cause for type 1 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune disorders, not just gastrointestinal problems. It can cause neurological damage, it can affect behavior, cause skin problems, etc. I've known so many people, my friend's boys included, who had numerous problems, from specific to just feeling really awful all the time, who were diagnosed with celiac, then went gluten-free. If she is gluten-intolerant, then eliminating gluten from her diet may not CURE her RA, but she will probably feel a thousand times better. It might be worth looking into.

Where are you located? I know some great resources in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

Hope she feels better really soon.:)

"Different viruses close together" hmm I agree with you there's something else at play here. Amongst the responses you've already received you've gotten some great starting points. I totally concur with all them and when seeing a naturopath she should request a full panel blood allergy test to be processed by Great Smokies Diagnostics (PM me if you need help with this I've done it w/my DD) it's not a cheap test but the answers it provides are priceless and very specific which makes dealing with food allergies a lot easier.

I'm also concerned about MRSA. It seems to be everywhere now.

I hope she finds a health care provider that can really help her. I think alternative holisitic healthcare would be a great help to her.
