Finding Bras That Fit

Hi all,

My sister is having a hell of a time finding bras that will fit her. She's got a really wide ribcage (family trait) and as she puts it, linebacker shoulders. She's a size 44 width, but only an A cup. She currently uses bra extenders, but I know it really bugs her not to have a nice bra that fits the way it should.

Do any of you ladies know of a specialty shop that I can send her to? (online or in person) I don't care about the cost. I want to find a place that will tailor bras specially for her. I think every woman should be able to feel sexy, even if no one else can see it.

What can I do next?

Bravo Bras in Blaine requires an appointment, but they custom order, custom tailor, or make from scratch bras for every possible size.

Hello,
I love curveation bra's. I am large busted and rib cage they feel great around my ribs. I do believe that they have size A cups. I bought mine at K-Mart not sure if they are in anyother stores. Congrats on the baby.

The top floor at Childrens Hospital Down town has a great odd size selection. I was fitted by them when I was having trouble with bras after my engorgement stage with my boys.

Hi J.,
I would have her go to Nordstrom. They are AWESOME! They carry the largest selection that I know of.

Good luck with baby #3.

My Mom has a 38GG bra size and for a long time could ONLY get them through JC Penney's catalog. I think they are good at having "odd" sizes....maybe you could check them out on-line. I also know that many of the stores have a person on staff that will help you get the right size for you (if she needs it). They will measure you and I think help you navigate through the different brands.

I would go to Nordstrom, they have great bra fitters and beautiful bras in all sizes. You can also go to figleaves.com but I would get a personal fitting first. Good luck!
