Feeling Ribs Through Top of Breasts. Is This Normal? (Sorry If TMI)

My breasts lost some volume when I weaned my younger daughter, but then I regained a cup size due to medication. I've been very sick the last two week and lost a few pounds. Showering this morning, I felt what initially seemed like a hard lump at the top of my left breast. I have lumpy breasts anyway and wasn't overly freaked out but then I felt a matching sized lump at approximately the same place at the top of the right one. I got out of the shower and called the ask a nurse line. She laughed and said that these "lumps" are my ribs. I felt really stupid.
However, I mentioned it to my adult daughter who is very thin and an A cup. She says that she can't feel her ribs through her breasts. So I texted my best friend who is also thin. She said the same thing. She can feel the breast bone in the middle, but not individual ribs at the top of her breasts.
Does anyone else feel their ribs at the top of their breasts? Not above the breast, but in the area left uncovered by a normal cup bra?

What can I do next?

Sort of same story here. I have D cups, but after baby, they headed south. So folded up into a bra, they are fine and where they should be, but without a bra they are like tennis balls hanging from tube socks and the top part is really flat and yes, I can feel my ribs. Hope that helps! And only to help another mama would I admit all of this! :-)

Yep, I have always been able to feel my ribs. I remember when I was enlisting into the Air Force and the doctor was showing me how to perform a breast exam on myself, and he told me that many women mistake their ribs for lumps. (So don't feel too stupid... It was kinda rude of the nurse to laugh at you!)

Lol. I guess I never had enough boobage to NOT be able to feel my ribs through the top of my breasts. And here I thought that was normal. ;)

I might be missing something because I can feel my ribs and I have double D's and not thin. I can not imagine getting it confused with a lump, so maybe you need to be seen by a doctor.
