There was the thread on fitness support, and Sam I Am did a Facebook "Page". But for those more savvy than I, what would be best, to maintain privacy in whatever way someone wants to I suppose, but still use this avenue to support and share info on fitness, rather than here on MP. Or is this something people would respond to HERE..or simply get tired of seeing? FB would offer more of a back and forth posting ability, etc...showing links to blogs, recipes, whatever..depending on how much anyone wanted ot really invest into it and their own journey I suppose.

I belong to a few "group" pages and I do NOT have access to all of the other group members pages, unless we friend each other seperately. Is a "page" the same way? I am jsut trying to understand the difference. I like how a "group" shows up in my sidebar and posts show seperate in a counter number next to the group names...but beyond that, I am failry ignorant with groups vs pages...

Any help?
TIA~

I have a group for family members so we can all stay informed of things happening with each other, it's private, only the people I've invited and have accepted can see it. I have a page as well on another topic and with that anyone you are friends with will be able to see all your comments on it.

Both the page and the group show up on MY sidebar, they'll show up on whomever is a member of a group or "likes" a page.

It sounds like I created a "group" then according to Manda. I have all the settings to private, but I don't know how it shows up on your side/wall?

But maybe not... I really do not know! I need to find the Facebook for Dummies! book. lol

I have a group for my son's memorial and I like that I can control who goes to it and posts. If it is a business it would probably be better to do a page where you can spread the word by the like button.
