Hi all, Your response to my need for a vet was great. I did not your recommendation and love the vet we choose.

Now, I need to get to a dog trainer. I have been to Petsmart before and really don't care for them. I live in HEB so would like to find someone close to this area. Please let me know your suggestions.

What can I do next?

My husband is a Vet. we just got a new puppy and I asked him where we should take him for training. He recommended Bark Busters. I have not called them yet because he has not had all his shots, but hopefully they are not to expensive. Best of luck.

Try your parks/recreation department or TCC - they run a more affordable training program - usually. Good luck.

Alan Brown with K-9 Direction is phenomenal. We took some of his classes with our dog and it was the best thing we could have done. Here's his website: http://www.k-9direction.com/

Mark Minnerly at Dallas Dog Trainer ###-###-#### is great. They have a board & train program that they work with the dog in a structured program, then they bring you in and train you in how to work with them. They have a lifetime program, so anytime that you or your dog need to have a refresher course - it's free!

I used a guy named Mike with Bark Busters it's really expensive but well worth the money. I have a dutch shepherd who is 80lbs and he was just so much for me to handle, but after Mike came in I could tell a difference in my baby. It was like $500 I think but you get a life time warranty on the dog like if 2yrs from now he starts doing something you don't like and can't fix Bark Busters come out and help you fix the problem at no additional charge. If for some reason you have to get rid of your animal the new owners are allowed to use Bark busters for free also. If interested www.barkbusters.com
