Do You Have Some "Hot" Gift Ideas for Tween and Teen Daughters?

Please suggest some "hot" gift ideas -both large and small- for my 11 and 13 (soon to be 14) year old daughters. The 11 year old just had a birthday in Nov. and the oldest will turn 14 on Dec. 13th, so by the time we and other relatives give them birthday gifts, I run short on ideas for Christmas! Need the latest greatest stocking stuffer ideas, popular clothing and accessory gift ideas, plus "Santa" always leaves them several eye-popping, jaw-dropping FUN items under the tree which is what I am really struggling with this year! I know it's a lot, but they don't get anything any other time of year. Since they were babes, whenever they wanted something, they were always told "put it on your birthday/Christmas list" and so they learned at a very young age to not even bother asking for anything the rest of the year. Yet it still seems like they have everything! As far as tech items, they already have i-Pods, clock radio stereos with i-Pod docks, and the oldest has a cell phone (don't want the youngest to have one yet). We are opposed to them having TVs, computers, or tablet computers in their rooms. Also, the 14 year old will get her instructional driving permit on her birthday. Do you have any ideas for a speciftic keychain or something else special as a birthday gift to celebrate this milestone?

What can I do next?

Since they have ipods, maybe stuff their stockings with itunes gift cards. Good hair products are always appreciated too :-)

A friend created this "Teen/Tween Tech Gift Guide" that might be helpful. I know you don't want TVs or computers in their room but some of these things may still be appropriate. This women has both a teen & tween and definitely know her stuff.

Some of that Crackle nail polish! My 13 year old step daughter has been begging for that stuff since she first saw it. I told her that $7 is too much for nial polish, but it's going in her stocking!

I just gave my 15 year old stepdaughter a bed pillow that has built in speakers and an ipod jack. She LOOOOOOOVED it!!! Best part was it was only $40 at Bed Bath & Beyond.

What about a nice camera, cropping software and a scrap booking starter kit? I know that I would love to have this sort if thing to look back on now with a bunch of pictures from my teen years. It could start a real interest and trend for them
Good Luck

How about the Kindle or Nook? My oldest kids are getting the Kindle for Christmas and they are 14 and almost 12. My kids are avid readers and we check book out from the library very regularly. Good thing is that the libraries in our area do Kindle rentals, so we will be utilizing that!!

They let 14 yr-olds drive?????? Sorry, L., I don't have any suggestions, as I'm not in the tween realm yet, but this is what stood out to be most from your post! LOL! Maybe you could just get her a few little things and then put the rest of the money in an account and tell her you are helping start her toward the ultimate present: Her own car in a few years!

Chi flat iron :) WISH I had one of those, but it seems to be a popular thing for my friends to give to their teen daughters.
