Dental Implant Costs and Doctor Recommendation

I need a recommendation for oral surgeons in the Little Elm, Frisco, Colony, Carrollton area that are reputable and don't charge extra for their services just because they are in higher dollar neighborhoods. I've already been through that with a dentist who over charged and had to re-do several of his own botched root canals or crown set too high on my teeth, some of it at my own extra expense. In fact, his not capping a back tooth right away is what has led to my needing to get a tooth pulled and having to consider a dental implant now. I really need a good doctor who will give me a payment plan option, as well.

:::sigh:::

What can I do next?

I just got one last week from Dr. Kirk Scott in Frisco off of Warren and Tollroad. He seems to be good. My husband has his wisdom teeth removed by him. The cost is $2700 for one tooth. I am in network with him so it was 2100. I got the care credit plan to pay it off monthly. If you pay by one year, you will have no finance charges. It does take about 4 visits. After you get the implant, you have to go in a week later to make sure everything is ok. Then you go back about 6 weeks later for an x-ray. If everything is ok, you go back once more to get the top part put on (abutment), then go straight to your dentist for the crown. You have to pay for the crown to go on top of the implant. My insurance covers 80% of crowns. Most insurance companies cover only 50% of crown work.

I also had to get an implant so I know how costly they can be. My dentist and periodontist were wonderful!!! The periodontist had to do the gum surgery, install the titanium post and basically the "prep" work for the implant. My dentist actually put the implant on. I worked out a payment plan with each doctor. To be honest, I'm not sure if they normally do that, but I've been a patient of my dentist for several years and she's the one who referred me to the periodontist. My dentist is in Plano at Spring Creek and Preston. Her name is Dr. Sandy Wang. Her phone # is ###-###-####. The periodontist is Dr. H.M. Lee. His office is in North Dallas at Preston and Frankford. His phone # is ###-###-####. I was absolutely terrified to get an implant but Dr. Lee's staff was wonderful. They even gave me a prescription for Halcion so I could be completely relaxed during the procedure. I don't even remember it and it felt like it only lasted 5 minutes. I strongly suggest you check both doctors out....Good luck!!!

I had my dental implant done about three years ago with Dr. Kirk Scott (another posted gave info). He was excellent and my plan covered it. It is an expensive procedure but I can tell you that it was well worth it. I had a bridge put in first but it was botched up (front side tooth) The implant looks and feels real! NO one knows I have an implant, he did a great job!

My friend's mom had several teeth implanted by Dr. Bass in Coppell. She was quite pleased with him and his work. I recently went to him for a bite splint for my TMJ and, I too, was impressed with him and felt that the charges were quite reasonable.

I love my dentist in Plano. I believe he does implants, but I am not positive. His name is Dr. Ron Bosher. Here is a link to his website:

http://www.drbosher.com/index.html

He is responsible for my smile that I couldn't be prouder of it. He crowned my 6 front teeth last year as well as some other routine care in the past.

I believe they have a payment plan too. The office manager is Jana. Please tell them that T. Frohardt-Johnson referred you and you will save $50.

Good Luck ... I know how much it sucks having a bad dental experience.
