Cute Baby Gift

A cute baby gift I received were the socks that also look like they are little black mary jane shoes. I got a little box with six different colors. Every time I put them on my little girl, people comment on how cute they are and ask where I got them.

I have seen them in some boutiques. The people that sent them to me used Amazon.

The number one thing I ALWAYS got stopped & asked about were my daughters hair bows. Her outfits could not always be seen, due to a blanket or the straps in her carrier. She always spit up on her bibs & burp cloths, they ended up in the diaper bag, so nobody could see them. BUT, the hairbow was always right there on top of her cute little head. Buy your customer a good variety of girlie colors & styles along with a bow holder. No hair, no problem, you can get these cute little headbands that have a little loop to you can clip the bow to. I know a ton of great places to get bows, all shapes, colors, sizes, prices and custom orders also. I have some custom ones with my DD first initial on them, so cute. Another idea, if she will use a paci/binky, get her one of those cute wooden paci clips made by Haba or custom made with ribbons & rhinestones. HTH

I do not know where you are located but I get unique gifts at Cat and the Fiddle in Plano. They are located in the Lakeside Shopping Center off Spring Creek and Preston.

The speciality "swanky blankies", burp pads, etc are one of a kind and really neat.

My husband is in business and I always go there when I need a babygift for one of his customers or something really special for someone I know.

I received a huge basket full of their stuff, and it was adorable! A must is a minky or ultimate blanket! We have one in pink/mocha, and LOVE it. They also carry the socks (Trumpettes) another poster mentioned. They really do look darling on when your baby girl is all dressed up! Lots of cute personalized burp clothes, etc too.

I went to a shower recently and one of the cutest gifts I ever saw was an 8 foot twine (or thick string) with baby outfits ranging from newborn to 6/9 Mo.

She had them all attached in chronological order with old fashioned cloths pins attaching them. The girl that it was for actually strung it across the nursery and it was SO cute and practical!

Hi Lindee...you must go check out this new store that opened on Camp Bowie in Ft Worth!! It's called "Zoe + Jack" (or vice versa)...the CUTEST baby and toddler stuff in there!! it's my friend's store and i guarantee EVERYONE will ask where the gift came from! It's close to "uncle julio's" restaurant.

My best friend makes adorable diaper wreaths for mom and baby. They have diapers, of course, and then they have toys, clothes, and/or other baby stuff (i.e., bottles, pacifiers, burp cloths, bibs, booties, hats, etc.) attached to them.

She hung one on my hospital door as a gift when I had my son back on '04 and I had people coming into my room, doctors, nurses, patients, their visitors, etc., asking where I got it and just going on and on about how great it was. Because of all the responses I got, she started making them and selling them at craft fairs and on craig's list. She doesn't sell them on Craig's list anymore, but I know she has a supply already made for boys, girls and neutral to choose from. She even includes the wreath hanger so all you have to do is hang it on the hospital door when the baby arrives.

There is a mom on here that does diaper cakes, cupcakes, wreaths and coraiges (spelling) that are WONDERFUL!! I ordered one for a friend on mine and even the hubby was just in awe over it and she customized it for me with the babys name and to match the babys nursery/baby shower theme. It was great!! She also gave me a taggy blanky she makes when my son was born (a wonderful suprise) and my son LOVES it! It has different tags all around it that is easy for him to grab and stick in his mouth of course lol ;). Well, I'm on this forum being a mom, but you are asking a question that could pertain to my profession.

I'm a jeweler and metalsmith. My oldest daughter moved to England and married an Englishman. We went to visit last fall and at an art fair in Cambridge I came across a "birth spoon." It was a sterling silver spoon and it had the baby's name, birth date and weight carved out of the bowl with interesting designs.

This is not an inexpensive gift as it requires a silver spoon, but the end result is very unique and can become an heirloom.

I'm currently working on one as a gift.
