Okay, I switched over to the depo shot back in February of this year. Now I was due for my next shot on July the 17th..Now my husband in I in between that time had a little accident. I kinda put it off because I've been waiting on my period. My breast are really sore and swollen. And I've been feeling a little sick. Now I don't know what to look for as far as signs of pregnancy but I went to dollar tree and picked up one of there test. But it said negative. What do you guys think I should do. New to this. I really don't know what to do.

You ask what to do - Call your OB to set up your shot, and make sure they know that they need to do a pregnancy test before they give it to you.
It's unlikely. Not impossible, mind you, but unlikely. Depo has a half-life of 50 days, which means that even now you have some Depo in your system. Not as much as you do within your 12-14 week timeframe, but some.
Go get a blood test to rule out pregnancy and then get your shot. Your period isn't necessary.
If you don't want to go to the doctor just yet for a test, just pick up another 1 or 2 tests from the store. I've bought many of them from the dollar tree and they are reliable. Just wait another day or two and re-take the test. Your hormone levels may not be strong enough yet to trigger a Positive result. Also, be sure to test first thing in the a.m. with your first "sample" of the day. If you are able to go to the doctor, though, I would definitely do that.
The breast tenderness and nausea are definitely some of the first signs of pregnancy. You can Google signs of pregnancy and get more signs.

I'm sorry. If you have had unprotected sex? you could be pregnant. If the HPT said NEGATIVE - you might have tested too early. Unprotected sex with your husband isn't an accident.
You don't know what to look for in regards to signs of pregnancy? For each woman it's different. Go to your doctor and talk to him/her. They'll most likely conduct a blood test if you have not had your period yet as well as a vaginal ultrasound to see what's going on.
If you had unprotected sex you could be pregnant.

I suggest waiting another week and do the test again. Dollar Tree tests are reliable.
Since it's time for the shot make an appointment to get it and the doctor will do a test to be sure you're not pregnant before giving you the shot.
I suggest there is a planned grace period during which you are still protected. I suggest it's likely you're not pregnant. Call the doctor's office and ask them about this.
I never used depo but a lady I worked with did and she got pregnant right away after missing her shot. You could go to the doctor for a blood test to make sure you are not pregnant. Good luck!!
Go to the doc. They'll do a foolproof blood test to check and then get that depo shot....or a crib.
