Can anyone give me a guide of the approximate costs of Day Cares in the Frisco, North Plano area? I know there are a lot of variables, but I'm trying to get a handle on the potential costs in general, i.e. for Primrose Schools.

What can I do next?

Hi, J., last time I checked Primrose school of prestmont (Ohio drive, a little north of Hwy 121), the costs were (for infants): $100 registration, $25 supply (twice a year) $210/week for full day with no other option. That was a year and a half ago.
Our son (now 4 years old) went to hickory Hill in downtown Frisco for a year, and the infant caregivers seemed to be great. The enrollment there was $85 yearly, $35 twice a year for supply and $195/week for childcare-same as primrose no other option than full day. Again, those were the prices at the end of 2003.
Our son goes to warren montessori and we love it...It's just north of 121 on
Hillcrest) Registration is $100 is I recall right and the current price for infants is $840.00/month.
There are many, many daycares in Frisco, make sure you visit several and go back to the ones you like. What I like about Warren Montessori, amongst other things, is that you can go any time and peek in each classroom window without being seen by your child or teachers. I check on my son on my way to and from work, it's great...Good luck in your search and congratulations on becoming a mother. M. Mears, prenatal yoga instructor

J.,

I do not know about Frisco or North Plano, but my son was enrolled in the Primrose School of Breckinridge Park (Richardson) from age one and a half to age 5 and I would assume the tuition would be similar. When we originally enrolled him at age 1 and a half, the tuition was right around $200/week. By the time he completed Pre-K, we were paying $170/week. Primrose is a wonderful educational facility and I do strongly recommend it. Good luck to you!

My husband and I just today went to check out the Primrose in Richardson, and for infant care, it costs about $250 per week. I'm guessing that's pretty standard across the board, in terms of Primrose. Good luck!

HI J.,
If you are looking at full time (usually they do not have part time infant care)...these are the costs per week:
Primrose - $226 week
Kids R Kids - $190 week
Merryhill School - $213 week
Preston Ridge Preparatory - $195 week
Tudor Time - $210
Preston Kiddie Kollege - $210
Be sure to visit everywhere...sometimes twice. Hope this helps.
