It's super easy in the crock pot. Cook with potatoes and cabbage, add spices (I've tried various combinations from recipes I've found online, or you can use the spices that come with prepackaged corned beef). I throw it all together in the morning and let it cook all day. Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to put it on my shopping list!

I cook mine in the crockpot and then put a glaze on it and broil it in the oven for about 10-20 minutes. If you baked it, you would have to use some sort of broth or something as it would dry out quickly.

OMG I love it baked! You have to bake it for several hours. Love the way
the house smells when it is baked! Enjoy.

I bake it. Waaaay better than boiling. Just make sure you rinse it and put 1 inch of water in the baking dish. Bake at 375 for 50 minutes per lb. covered. Then the last 1/2 hour take off the foil.

I put mine in a crock pot. Comes out nice and tender, you can cut it with a fork. Put in pot with the season packet that comes with it, put in all veggies. I use potatoes, carrots, celery and cabbage. Cook on high for first 3-4 hours then on low for 2 hours. Perfection! We had ours Friday night and everyone loved it, including my father who is very picky about the way things are made. He even commented on how good everything was. Which is very unusal for him to comment that something was good.

I do both but we BBQ ours too. First I boil the corned beef with the packet for two to 3 hours. I remove the corned beef to a baking pan and reserve the liquid. I chop a cabbage in quarters and boil in the reserved liquid. I baste the corned beef with bbq sauce two or three times over a hour and it's done. I also make honey glazed baby carrots and smashed red potatoes.
