I'm looking for easy recipes to bring to a cook out that sit well. I don't know if that's possible.

Buy a bag of broccoli slaw in the product area, add strips of green and/or red pepper (sliced very thin), and onions if desired. Boil up a package of ramen noodles (break up the bigger pieces), with or without the seasoning packet. Add oil & vinegar, salt & pepper to taste -but if you used the seasoning packet, don't add more salt. You can add dried cranberries and slivered almonds. If you use the Asian flavored seasoning packet, you can use a little soy sauce (instead of vinegar) and water chestnuts. If you use the chicken flavored packet, you can use lemon juice instead of vinegar. You can do everything "to taste" and not worry about proportions. Nothing to spoil and it's delicious with some crunch to it, a nice change from pasta and potatoes.

I'd be careful about nacho dip - the sour cream and the guacamole, even the cheese, won't keep all day in the heat. You can take 2 bowls, though, put ice in the large one and set the smaller bowl of food inside it.

I love the pasta salad recipes for cook outs. Dont need to worry about the mayo if you use the herb/oil dressings and there are so many ways to put them together.
Old stand bys, potato salad, green salad, cheese/cracker plate, one of those layered nacho salads seems always welcome.
Chips and dips..pickle plate with variety including olives.
Bet you could research online for picnic/cook out recipes !!!
Best wishes and God bless

This is so easy and goes over well, I buy 2 to 3 large cans of B & M beans, add chopped onions, crumbled cooked bacon, I add a dollop of mustard and katchup, and a little brown sugar, mix up. I then lay 3 to 4 strips of bacon over the top and bake until hot and bacon is crisp (sometimes I just lay some pieces of the cooked bacon on top!) cover and WAH LA!!
