I am new to the area and just love mama source. I was wondering if any of you moms know the best place to take baby items and kids clothes for consignment. I have a one year old son and have numerous items; stroller/car seat combo, clothes, baby bounder, etc., that is either new or almost new and I would like to sell them if possible. In addition I have some other really nice girls clothes. I do not plan on having anymore kids. 4 is enough. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on who offers the best deal.

What can I do next?

I am not sure where you live, but I use Little Lanbs consignment on US 41 for consigning, because I think I get more bang for my buck there, I shop at many including Litle Amici in new tampa, and comfy kids in temple terrace. There is also another in the next shopping plaza near little lamb, but I don't know what it icalled, but it is kind of hit or miss.

Hi. Baby Boomerang on Kennedy is upscale and was quite nice the last time I was there (but that was 2 years ago). I have driven past though and they are still there. Its worth a shot! Good luck!

Hi A. - there is a great site where you can trade items for points and buy other items from other moms with those points - it is Kizoodle.com

Please use my referral code: JCA5IG if you sign up - it will give both you and I free points. It is a free service - just trades only. Good Luck!

Wallaby Kids on Little Rd near old 54 and Duck Duck Goose on 54 just past Rowan Rd are both good, also Neon Daisy is on Seven Springs Blvd. I have not taken anything to Neon Daisy but the other 2 are good if you are in the New Port Richey area.

Once upon a child They also have a store in Clearwater and soon one on Kennedy. They pay outright no cosigning. They give in store credit for clothing or cash for funiture items. I like that they will buy from you without having to wait to see what will sell. They sell good quality stuff at good prices. This is my favorite place.

You just sign up at our website, view how to prepare the items & tags, then drop them off to us on the Thursday of the sale (currently the next sale is November 9th & 10th, with drop off on the 8th)That's it-you tag it, drop it off, we sell for 2 days, you pick up waht doesn't sell, or leave with us to donate & we mail a check about 10-12 days after the sale!! Check it out! Hope to hear from you! (PS-we are growing in to different areas like Wesley Chapel soon!) www.littlesproutbaby.com

Little Lambs, as mentioned before on US 41 - Land O Lakes Blvd, also down the road from it is another place called All About Babies, I live by Busch Gardens so I have used and shop at Comfy Kids on 56th Street.

If you have the time and patience, you should try to sell your items yourself on Craigslist - that's what I have done and you get full price on your items (fair market value that is, of course) than if you would at a consignment store - of course consignment is much much more convenient - but you only get about 15%, maybe 20% of the sale. I did alot of my clothing sales at the consignment store but bigger items I sold myself.

HTH - Good Luck - A.

Green Lake Community Center is holding a Children's Consignment Sale this May 18 - 20, 2012. You get a larger percentage of your sales than you would from a consignment shop. They are currently looking for consignors. Their website is: www.perfectlyoutgrown.com
