Hi,

My daughter will be going into second grade in the fall and was wondering if anyone could recommend some fun, educational computer games/programs.

Thanks!

Hi
My son loves his Didj. It is a hand held computer game that incorporates math, spelling, etc. It is by Leapfrog. Check it out here: http://www.leapfrog.com/gaming/didj/

My daughter goes on Club Penguin. It's a fun game for them - but they have to read directions, and follow the course - so they "learn" while they are unaware of it!

My kids love jumpstart world. There is monthly subscription fee, but it helped them learn quite a bit.

My daughter and I really love " www.uptoten.com " . I just go to the "free" section. They have TONS of cute/educational games for kids ages 1-10 (over a 1000 I believe, and all divided by categories)...
Have fun! :)

Mission Think is a blast! I think it is from The Learning Company but if you google search it you should find it easily. I have 5 kids who are all teens or older now but we all loved it. Yes I used to play it too. It is that much fun!

Hi C.,

My daughter happened to be standing here as I read this, she is also starting 2nd grade. She likes to play on the following websites.

www.barbie.com
www.funbrain.com
www.starfall.com
www.uptoten.com

She also uses a link through the Orange Library called tumblebooks.

Hope those are new ones for you!

Starfall.com is on the easier side but fun and educational.
