Cleaning Your Stroller

We are getting ready to baby #2 in Febuary and I would like to clean up our Graco stroller. I absolutely love my travel system and it has held up well but I would like to clean the cloth (vinyl?)material. I am not sure if you can take this off and throw it in the washer or do you have to just spot clean it? I feel like I could clean it better if I could actually remove the covering but I am uncertain if you can do this or not. Any help or suggestions would be apppreciated!

What can I do next?

I also leave everything intact and just scrub it up with laundry soap and a scrub brush, and hose it off afterwards. Just leave it out for the day to dry. Sometimes I let the kids scrub up the stroller on the day my husband is washing the car :)

Congratulations S....Shaklee has a cleaner disinfectent that is very very very safe for cleaning your baby items and most importantly it is safe for your baby and the rest of your family. I work hard trying to educate people on the toxins they are exposing their families to and the dangers you need to watch out for. ____@____.com let me know how you feel.

I just wait for a sunny day and hose it off in the drive way. If it is really dirty (like this time with all sorts of stuff from the county fair still lurking in it, lol), I create a "solution" of dish soap and water, spray it on and them just hose it down. It works like a charm and super easy. If its nice and sunny out, it only takes a couple of hours to dry completely.

I have a Graco Mosaic and I cleaned it for my second in the manner Jamie discussed. I used dish soap and scrubbed it down and rinsed it off with the hose. The stroller looked like new afterwards. I thought about trying to take the stroller cover off but then decided I never wanted to try to put it back together and what if I didn't put it back together correctly? Good luck!

It is possible to remove the fabric and put it in the washer. Make sure that you take a picture or find some way of remembering how to put it back together.

I would go to graco.com and look for the manual for your stroller (if you don't have the paper copy handy) and see what it says.

I would think that you can completely remove it from the stroller, although you may have to take out a couple of screws to get it off. I'm certain we ran ours through the washing machine and then only lightly tumble dried it to make sure it didn't shrink (we also did that with the infant seat cover).

Almost all of the graco seats, car seats, stroller etc, are machine washible. I've washed mine several times and never had a problem, I've done both stollers, (duo glider and metoliter), the infant car seat, baby car seat and the booster seat. That was one of the things that drew my to the graco line was the washiblility of the seat covers.

Try to take it to a car wash and power wash it with soap and hot water. I dont think you can take it off but this would work wonders.
