Children's Consignment Stores

Hi moms. I have tons of infant and toddler clothing that I want to sell. Right now I'm looking at selling to Klassy Kids in Casselberry, Children's Orchard (I think that's the right name) in Altamonte Springs, and Once Upon a Child on Colonial. Have any of you had good (or bad) experiences with any of these? Right now I'm leaning towards Children's Orchard because they say they pay higher than the other stores, you can get your money the same day, and they're accepting all seasons. Please let me know what store would be the best. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Where is Children's Orchard??? I use Once Upon a Child on Colonial. They give you cash on the spot but they are super picky about what they take. And sometimes you have to wait a long time-- if you don't want to wait, you have to come back within the same day to pick up whatever they don't take and get your money.

I've only used Children's Orchard and it was an ok experience. I didn't get as much money as I anticipated, but was glad to get something. You can take cash or get store credit which is a higher value than what they offer in cash. I took the store credit so that I can get more clothes for my daughter. They are somewhat picky and don't take clothes for all seasons at any time, so be sure to know what they are accepting at the time. You do have to make an appt if you are taking alot of clothes and do have to wait a few weeks out to get one, but they have walk in Wednesday's and you can take in a bag full. Be sure to let us know what you end up doing as I have some clothes to consign and was thinking about trying Once Upon a Child this time...

I used to exercise with the owner of Children's Orchard right after she had her baby. She was a very pleasant and positive person!

You have to make an appointment with Childrens Orchard and it will take over a month for one. You can take two bins or bags with you. I pre went through my things and took only the nice and unstained items to them. I was very disappointed at what she chose to take. Probably not even 1/4 of what I took and it was all nice. I had Childrens Place, Gap, Gymboree things. I am sure that she does not over take from any one person. My opinion was that I put more time and effort into cleaning and sorting the clothes than the money was worth.

I use Children's Orchard, and I've had great experiences with them. You can either take cash, or store credit, but you get paid a little bit more if you take store credit (which is what I do).
