Boy or Girl and Is It Normal ?
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant but when I was 20 weeks I had an ultrasound to determine the sex of my baby and its a boy well I got home and my family saw the ultrasound and they said that they don't believe i'm having a boy becuase his wee-wee is to big and they thing his "wee-wee" is really his umbilical cord and that i'm having a girl. p.s my mother said her ultrasound looked like mines and she was told that my sister was a boy. Is this normal and what can I do about it if anything ?

Yes it is nornmal. Was told that my son was a girl until the day he was born. Only thing to do is have another ultrasound. But remember that the baby has to be laying in positions that allows the gentials to be seen. Good Luck.

yes this is normal. ANd yes you are having a boy. A sonogram is hard for an indivisual to read but if the doc said it is a boy than there is a really good chance that it is. Honestly you are worried about nothing.

There are some home tests you can take that are pretty accurate. i think you pee on them and then send them away. One is about $100 but the other was much cheaper. I'm sorry I don't know more info, but I'm sure you can find it if you search on the internet.

It can happen. A friend of mine was told her first was a boy but it was actually a girl. But if the doctor and tech thought it was a boy I would take their opinions over your familys, since I'm sure they have seen hundreds of ultra sounds. Ultrasounds are fussy so maybe they were looking in the wrong spot or it was just a close up shot so you could see better that it was a boy.

Ultrasounds can be read wrong. Don't stress over it. I would say pick out a boys name and a girls name and one outfit for each to take with you to the hospital. It's nice to be surprised. :)

Is anyone in your family licensed in some way to be able to read a sonograms? I wouldn't even 100% rely on a Dr. either. Sometimes, those things are read wrong. Just enjoy being pregnant...you'll find out sooner than you know!

I had to have an early ultrasound because they thought I might be carying twins. (I wasnt, just big) But I wasnt sure and since it was my first child OU medical center did a 4D ultra sound for 50.00. I got a clearer picture and it was sooo cool to see! I even got a vidio of her moving around and stuff it was so cute and worth it. Good luck hun!

There really isn't much you can do about it. If it's a boy or a girl, nothing will change that!! You will know for sure when the baby is born!!
