well now is time to find left over halloween stuff from the party store that have zombies on it. Skulls etc. I would make a bowl of red jello. Long strings of twizzlers.
Maybe for a cake - if you want one from a bakery, check out the girl cakes. A lot of them have garden themes. You can ask that the My Little Ponies or Minnie Mouse or whatever be left off - I did this one year, when my daughter wanted just a garden scene - it was airbrushed to look like grass. Then, maybe check out the model houses at a hobby store, and see if they have little lawn mowers? Now cut little rice-krispy treat squares, frost them with gray frosting (you can get black gel food coloring in the cake decorating aisle in hobby stores), and set them upright in the cake...those are the tombstones dotting your lawn....
Also check out the science section at the hobby store or a teacher store, and maybe even a garden store - maybe you can find venus flytrap seeds as a party favor?
