one my kids has a birth day comin up in march and we dont have much money this yr with all my med bills and such..... so i need ideas to have a good party for my kid with not so much moneys!!
also i make bird houses and bird feeders .......... thats random i no sorry its early but my story is that i have like four bird feeders in my yard and the stupid squirrals keep eating the bird food. anybody know an idea to get rid of the squirrels or keep them off the danged bird feeders?????? i even had a squirrel come in the back door on the trailer once when we left it open. guess i forgot to feed it... pushy thing!!!!!!!
o and also i had my tumor removed i had a cuople ppl message me about that..... and a little radiation too.

Squirrel-proof feeders or baffles are the only things I know of for the feeder problem.
If you're up to it--why not an old fashioned at home party with hot dogs or pizza, cake & ice team?
Pin the tail, clothespin drop, beanbag toss, and limbo?

Put a squirrel baffle (you can use an aluminum pie plate or 2) on the feeder pole or chain. If the feeders are on a tree, forget it. They win.
Party games - get a book from the library with all the old fashioned party games - kids don't know them anymore and they will love them! That's what we always did. Scale back - cupcakes and ice cream. Use what you have in the house for decorations or make your own.
And I suggest that you not post publicly on this site or any other that you are getting income and not declaring it! Not smart!
Glad to hear that you were able to get the surgery, Dandy! I hope you are feeling okay and that you are no longer in pain.
Squirrels are real buggers - my FIL can't get rid of them on his birdfeeders either. There are days when I think he wants to throw something at them!

1. Parties aren't mandatory. Invite family and a few friends, have cake and pizza, put on a movie from the Redbox and pop some popcorn. Forget the goody bags.
2. Hang your feeders from about 5 feet of high test fishing line. Be sure it's sturdy enough to hold your full feeder (you might need to weigh the feeder!). The squirrels can't climb it, and slide down it too fast to be able to hang on.

the only thing i ever saw keep squirrrels off a feeder was a clear upsideown bowl on the chain above the feeder. they couldnt hang onto it and would slide right off.
YAY, Dandy is here and it's not even Friday!!! Sorry, no answer on the B-day party or squirrels but, how is the family? Who's doing who these days and how is the lady at the store that was failling for you?
You don't say when the party would be.
If it is mid-march, you could have a St. Patty's Day "Pot of Gold" treasure hunt. Buy a bunch of the chocolate gold coins and put them in a box. Create a map of clues, at least 4. You could throw some Skittles and Lucky Charms cereal in there too. :)
You could also just send cupcakes to school and just do a family cake/dinner at home without the party.
If it is towards the end of March, you could do an easter egg hunt. Easter is March 31. You can get 12 eggs for $1 at the Dollar Tree. A few bags of candy, a few paper bags.
Google a video called Daylight Bandits. It's about how squirrels figure out all those preventative measures. We used to watch the different episodes and laugh so hard. They are so smart.
But you know they carry all sorts of diseases right? From rabies to many other illnesses that they can spread to others.
Grease the pole they are on.
Hanging my bird feeder from a shepherd's crook kept the squirrels off it.
