I think our fridge has about had it, so we are thinking about getting a new one as an anniversary present to each other (romantic, eh?). Has anyone been shopping for refrigerators lately? What seems to be the best brand? Who has the best prices?

I have had nothing but trouble with Best Buy. I like Circuit City, but I personally buy all of my appliances from Lowe's.

I really like the Samsung stainless one with the freezer on bottom and double doors on top (but one larger fridge area). You can now even get them with water and sometimes ice dispensers in the doors!

Good luck! Happy Anniversary!

I have purchased home appliances from Sears for many, many years and never had a problem. My only advice is, you get what you pay for.

We love the Sears (scratch and dent)store in Addison- some of them are returns, some clearly scratched and some have dents or scratches where the refridgerator would be against the wall. Great brands- kenmore etc and guaranteed for the year for anything for free. We saved a ton of money and often they have sales when they are overstocked. It was also nice to see so many brands and be able to truly compare what we really wanted. Not the most glamorous place but you are buying a fridge not clothing....

We have been a Sears family for the past 16 years, my husband and I have both worked from them. He is now working for Conn's and they are what Sears was 20 years ago. If you want great prices, good selection and most importantly the best in customer service, please try Conn's. Did you know Sears does not say Customer Satisfaction Gauranteed anymore? Conn's also owns their own credit department and will get more than double the number of customers appoved over any competitor. They also OWN their delievery and repair departments. Everyone works for Conns, all the other companies have their extras on contract, (remember the Stanley Carpet cleaner commercial about drug and backround checks) We havent been part of the Conn's family long, but from what we have learned, I like what I see!

Happy Shopping :)

We were at Home Depot yesterday, and they had a really nice selection of fridges! Also..if you want a great deal and dont mind a little imperfection, there is a Sears Outlet over on Marsh Lane at Arapaho in Carrollton/Addison area. Ive been there before and they have alot of overstock, some with slight imperfections, etc. Their prices looked pretty low too.
