Where is the best place to buy fresh flowers for a baby shower that I will be in charge of and of course best price. Should i go to a nursery (never been inside a nursery), a florist or local grocery store?

Believe it or not, I use Sam's Club. I've used them for showers I've hosted, receptions, center pieces for dinners and events. They really do a good job and the prices are very reasonable. I've used both the location on Coit & 190 and the one on Garland Rd.
Try Central Market. You can get some fresh affordable flowers, or you can easily spend a lot. I got some lilies there 2 weeks ago for only 20 bucks and they are still gorgeous.
Sams has freshness and good arrangements.
Sam's has the best prices on flowers.
I used Appletree Flowers in Plano for my wedding 6 years ago. Their florist shop has beautiful selection of flowers and plants. They are at Spring Creek & Custer. Also, if you have a Sam's membership, they always have a really nice selection as well.

I'm assuming you are wanting to arrange them yourself? If so, Sam's has a fantastic and very affordable floral department. Go in and order them ahead of time so that when they come in, you get your pick of the bunches you want straight out of the refrigerator (as opposed to taking whatever is out on the floor).
