I'm looking for low cost ballet lessons for my 4 year old daughter that focus on fun. we're looking for weekend classes, since weeknights never seem to have enough time! We live in south San Jose, near 101 and Blossom Hill.

What can I do next?

hello K....
my daughter goes to atlas school of dance and loves it and all her little dance friends...located on the corner of branham and almaden behind the jack in the box they have a web page atlasdance.com...their yearly recital is in june and new classes start after that. my daughter is in tiny dancers meets saterday at 9:30 am check them out they love and enjoy teaching little ones to dance through self expression & creative movement more importantly the kids love it. you and your daughter could even try to check out the recital she will probably really enjoy it you might find it tedious without her involvement but watching the tiny dancers perform will definately bring a smile to your face if it's something she would enjoy doing i beleive new classes start in sept. good luck and enjoy!!

My daughter is 4 and has been dancing at Liberty Dance Company for over a year. It is wonderful, very affordable ($50 per month for once a week classes) and fun. They do have Saturday morning classes for 4 year olds. They are located very close to you - on Blossom Hill at Poughkeepsie, in the plaza with Wells Fargo, Allstate and Burrito Factory.

Hi K.,

Try San Jose Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Services (PRNS). I noticed they have ballet lesson at various community centers emphasizing fun for younger age. You can view their schedule and register online or call them. I had my 7yr old son enrolled in day camp all last week for spring break. He had a great time and keeps asking when is camp! It is sooo reasonably priced compared to the Y programs or private organizations. It broke down to less than $5/hr. Can't beat that and I noticed the centers (and libraries) have been renovated. I was very impressed w/new facilities. The center my son was enrolled in felt like I was walking into a modern art museum. I'm even considering enrolling in their gym and dropping my gym membership! Good Luck.

I know there is a dance school on Santa Teresa & Snell (across from the Nob Hill shopping center). I haven't been there myself (my daughter is still too young), but know a couple of ladies that brings their girls there and am pretty sure they like it!

My friend owns Dance Kraze off Branham and 85/Camden. Their rates are great and the teachers are fantastic!
