Hey Mama's!! I'm wondering if any of you have advice on the best baby sling/wrap out there. I have a front carrier but want to try the sling this time since I've heard that it can make nursing easier while out & about as well as free up your hands. Is there one that you absolutely love or one that is completely horrible? We are also trying to save money so we would like get one that isn't ridiculously expensive. TIA!!!

What can I do next?

I have a maya wrap and love it love it love it.
I have used it for years and I 3 kids and they loved it. Whenever I would go to target or where ever, moms would stop me and say I had this too and loved it. Or they want to know where I got it. Great way to meet people. LOL
I have recommended this to all moms and my friends.

YOU can make them VERY easily!!! I like the wrap style personally and have made several for under $10 for friends... save yourself the money and do it by yourself... it takes less than 15 min even if you aren't good at sewing!

Go to the website www.mamatoto.org they have lots of instructions and patterns... even some new sew patterns.

Try hotslings.com . They are having a 35% off sale right now too. You can also find instructions on making your own maya wrap http://www.mayawrap.com/n_sewsling.php , or having someone make it for you. Good luck!

I never did like the slings, but my sister has tried them all, including the baby bjorn.

She just got this one called a sleepy wrap and absolutely loves it, she is trying to get me to buy one!

Hi Danielle,
You should join the DFW babywearing group and attend one of their meetings, people bring tons of different carriers (wraps, pouches, soft structured carriers, etc etc)
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DFWbabywearing/
The next meeting is December 15 in Richardson (a little bit of a drive for you, but would definitely be worth it!)

Also, check out www.thebabywearer.com - they have some GREAT forums with tons of information to help you out! I know there are some moms that live in HEB/Arlington area that are on their forums.

Hi Danielle,
I'm using PSling NY . It's a bit expensive but it is really worth it. It's highly comfortable and very fashionable as well. I started using it when my daughter was 4 months (prior to that I have used hotsling)and I still use PSling with her now that she's 2 yrs old.
visit www.pslingnewyork.com to order or view their products.
