Baby Sign Language Meet-Up Groups
Hello moms!
I have 12 month old that signed her first sign to us at age 10 months and now is up to about 40- 50 signs. We are so very proud of our lil munchkin and would love to be able to join other moms with babies that are too learning sign language. I have done a little bit of searching around and have joined a sign language group online, but since I joined almost 3 months ago there has not been 1 meet up. Does anyone know of any mommy and baby sign language meet up groups here in the H-E-B area? Arlington would be fine too.
In the event that there is not a group available I am considering possibly starting one up if there happens to be other moms out there that may want to join us.
Moms, let me know your thoughts! I find this site very useful and absolutely appreciate any and all advice.

Have you tried www.meetup.com and Yahoogroups? There may be something there. Other than that, try contacting local people who teach baby sign classes. I think some Gymboree places have sign classes and I am sure there are others. They may be willing to post a flyer or mention you in their classes.

My baby is only 2 months old, but I am definately interested in teaching him sign language. I don't know how old they have to be to start. I live in in NW Arlington...close to HEB. I would be interested in joining a group if you start one.

I don't know of any groups, but if you start one up, I would be interested in joining. My baby is almost 8 months old and has done 1 sign so far. I would be very interested in teaching her more. I am in Arlington.

A., I actually teach the Baby Signs program in Arlington and Mansfield. I also have a meetup group that you are welcome to join. I periodically am the guest storyteller at area libraries or bookstores, as well as arrange for some other outings (especially in the summer) where moms can get together with their little signers.
