Hi!
I'm new to the area (my second day here was the big storm!). I have a 7 month old daughter and need to find a good baby photographer. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would love to find a wonderful photographer that I can go back to again and again over the coming years.
I used Liz Larson of Liz Larson Photography. She does it out of her home which is in Riverside Lakes just outside of Elkhorn off of Dodge. She's great with babies. Kathy Johnson is amazing! A little expensive but definitely worth it. Check out her website at kathyjohnsonportraits.com. We went to her when our daughter was 2 months old and again for Christmas and 1 year pictures. Everytime she has been a pleasure to work with and she specializes in children, she is very patient with them and catches them in action. Her collage cards for the Holidays are awesome, several people called to find out where we went to get them taken. They are all on her website too. Good luck!
I have a good friend I used to work with (before I had my second child and decided to stay home) who does great photography. She is a true artist and did my pregnancy photos for me when I was expecting my first and then she did photos of my son when he was two weeks old. Check her stuff out at cbyatesphotography.com

Hi there! Welcome to Omaha! I had my daughter's pictures taken at Jot Studio back in January, and referred a co-worker in April or so. Both sets of pictures were great! We loved the photographer, and we're going back next month for my daughter's 1 year photos. The photographer is so nice and really relates to motherhood, being a mother of 4 - she loves children. Her work is great and prices are reasonable. Visit jotstudio.com for more info. She's out toward Elkhorn, if you're familiar... Her studio shots are really nice, but I've seen some examples of her work on location (a park or otherwise), and they're great!

I used a place located off a 114th and Dodge called Hour Glass Studio. Very reasonable on price plus the post all of your proofs on there web site so other family members can purchase other poses. Good luck finding a picking a photographer.

I am not sure if what area you live in but my good friend is a wonderful photographer! She is in Omaha. Her website is www.dustinphoto.com. She does an amazing job and I am not just saying that because she is my friend! Check her out!
I have been taking my daughter who is now 9 months to Portrait Innovations, a good friend recommended it and I have really loved going there. They have several locations, I go to the one at Shadow Lake Town Center. From what I have found you really can't beat their price for the huge amount of pictures you get. They usually take about 50-75 pictures, then show them all to you, you narrow down to what you want, then they can have them ready to take home in about 15 minutes. They also have deals that you get different things free and all your pics free on a CD with the more you order. I have gone there now for her 6 month and 9 month pics and have recommended them to a lot of people. Good luck, hope you find a place you like! Beware of future IA/NE weather, it keeps you guessing! I have used Amanda Fish. She comes out to your home and meets you at a location. She charges $50 and then you pay for your pictures as well. She is more of a photojournalist instead of a studio type setting. Her address: www.amandafishphotography.com. I have used Portrait Innovations at Village Point and found their work to be less then impressive. Target does a much better job in my opinion. I have also used Tracey Raver and although her pictures are totally amazing...you will wait forever to get your proofs to even pick the ones you want.
