Babies Eating Yogurt
Does anyone know if it's OK for a 10-month old to eat regular yogurt, or do I need to buy that baby yogurt?

My 2.5 yo son still eats Yo Baby Yogurt by Stonyfield Farms - it's organic and made from whole milk, like someone else mentioned he's a skinny kid and can always use the extra fat. He started eating yogurt fairly young, definitely at 10 months he was eating it every day and I still try to make sure it's part of his every day diet.

It needs to be whole milk yogurt. Most "regular" yogurt is low fat. Just check the labels.

IF your child is drinking regular cows milk, yogurt of any style is fine. Some babies like the whips better due to texture issues, and of course steer away from anything they havent eaten before (nuts, berries, etc) if you are adding items in slowly. The is lots of nutrition even in cheap yogurt, go for it!

Regular yogurt is fine, but the baby yogurt is made from whole milk and has extra fat, which for my three skinny kids was always a good thing.

regular yogurt is fine. I really like the Brown Cow whole milk yogurt (we would just buy a big vat of the plain stuff and mix pureed fruit or maple syrup or whatever into it for my son). Personally, I avoid yogurt that has anything "weird" in it (like gelatin, artificial sweeteners, colors, etc) for either me OR my son.
