My DD is almost 4 months old. She was born with a head full of hair. Her hair is now falling out in clumps! My son was also born with a full head of hair but never lost it, he is now 2. I was born bald and remained that way til I was almost 3. Did you baby lose their hair? What age? When did it grow back?

What can I do next?

All of my son's hair fell out by the time he was 6 weeks old. Then he really didn't have any until he was about 18mos!

DD (now 7mos) was born with peach fuzz, and never lost it. It's slowly growing in, but mostly bald still.

Lots of babies and young children lose all of their hair, but do not worry it comes back in. Sometimes a totally different color and texture.

My family was in the same situation as yours. Our son had the most beautiful blond hair and never lost any of it. My daughter was born with a head full of dark hair and it fell out on the sides of her head... at 2.5 she still has a mullet because of it. Her hair (when it started growing back) came in blonde and now she and her brother look like twins.

My DD never got bald, but she did get thin. I lost my hair when I was about 3 mo. old and was a baldie for several months after that. I had hair by my 1 yr pictures.

My first daughter was born with this beautiful black hair, but she lost it all within the first few weeks and was essentially bald until about a year and a half, when it started coming back in blonde. At six, it's still blonde.

My second daughter was born with a nice amount of dark hair, and although it's lightened to a medium blonde, she hasn't lost any.

my son was born with a full head of hair and by 12 months was bald as bald could be. Now, at nearly 24 months he's got more hair than I know what to do with. It's totally normal.

My DD was born with a full head of hair as well and right around 2 months or so it all started to fall out. Especially on the sides and the back of her head. I was told that it is totally normal and she is now 15 almost 16 months and has tons of hair on her head so I wouldnt worry about it.
Good Luck

Both my sons had very little hair when they were born and then what they did have started to fall out and now my 2 year old has a full head of hair and my 4 year old has so much hair we can't even control it! I think between 1-2yrs they really start getting their full head of hair, closer to 2 for my kids and it probably differs with every kid.

My DD had a ponytail when she was born. (literally... she had gunk swirled around the top of her head, and had the ponytail. lol.) All of her hair fell out by the time she was 6 months old, except a little tuft on top and some very thin hair on the sides. She looked like an old man!!! (A very CUTE old man...) She is 11 months now, and has enough hair that I can put it in pigtails. :) I have already had to trim her bangs twice, and she needs it again!

My first daughter was born with a full head of dark black hair... she was bald until 2, when she naturally grew a mullet (groan!!)... now she has snow white blonde hair! My 2nd daughter was born bald, and stayed bald until 2. My son was born bald, and has super fine light brown 'hair'... he still looks pretty bald, and he's 15 months :)
