I have three things for you to try.

Pre-Seed lubricant
Instead menstrual cups (put one in immediately after the horizontal Mambo)
Ovulation predictor kit

If you still cant get pg after all three of these, you need to see a fertility doctor.

Nothing works better than this...take some time off from trying...then plan a weekend alone with hubby and get really drunk. Drunk vacation sex always works! Good Luck?

Check out http://www.fertilityblend.com/

I had very irregular cycles, and my doctor told me I wasn't ovulating "very often." She suggested putting me on Clomid, but I wanted to try something natural first. I tried Fertility Blend (researched on the internet first, then found that they carried it at my local RiteAid/GNC and other health food stores!!!). Tried it, and was pregnant within 6 weeks! Even before my cycles became regular. Tried it again when I was ready for baby #2, and again got pregnant on the second month. I recommend it to anybody having issues getting pregnant. Ingredients are all-natural and effective for optimizing the female hormonal system to support a healthy pregnancy. A friend of mine was also successful using it, so I'm a believer!

Good luck to you!

First thought is go to YOUR OB/GYN and ask for help. Never, never ask personal questions to your employer. (side note-the doctor you work for is an idiot and you may want to look for another job or transfer). Second, you need to relax and track when you ovulate. YOUR OB/GYN is going to tell you the same thing and may want to do basic blood work. Trust YOUR OB/GYN and not the quack you work for. Good luck.

L., you have to relax when you are having sex with your husband. You can't go in thinking I hope this is going to make me pregnant.

Another thing, you can trick your brain into thinking that you are going to adopt but you have to believe it or trick your brain that there are other options. You are not really going to adopty or go through fertility treatments but you have to make your brain think you are. Start searching the web about adoption and fertility, talk to your friends, your husband. Once your brain thinks that you are going to do it, it will allow you to relax. Then let the magic happen. Have fun having sex and the rest will happen.

I am by no means experienced in this, however, I have seen a lot of posts talking about thyroids. You can still get pregnant if your thyroid is out of whack, I got pregnant with my second with an IUD and severely out of control graves disease (hyperactive thyroid). It may make it slightly harder, but trust me, its possible!

It seems silly compared with all the other advice you have here but put your legs up after and rest in bed. This has worked for some of my friends after trying for some time.

I say this in the best possible way, but you really need to see a professional about this problem. If you have been trying for a year and are not pregnant, then the right help could change everything. Just because you have gotten pregnant in the past does not mean that your body hasn't changed, or that your partner's body hasn't changed. While all the advice here is great, if a thyroid issue isn't what you are dealing with, or excess estrogren, or timing of ovulation...this advice won't help. A trained professional will know the right questions to ask, tests to run, diet to advise, supplements to recommend (or drugs to prescribe). A previous post said, "You can try acupuncture and herbs as well, but you may have a simple problem that can be solved easily with a few tests run by someone who knows what they are doing"...implied that acupuncturists don't know what they are doing. I have to strongly disagree in that most acupuncturists are great at the medicine they practice and can be very effective! Seek out a professional you feel comfortable with, and let them be your guide on a journey that can be wonderfully rewarding.

Best of luck!

There are many reasons why woman may have difficulty getting pregnant. Sometimes just lowering your stress level can help. I have friends that tried for almost two years and it wasn't until they went on a vacation to Hawaii that they both were able to relax enough and the result was an eventual baby girl.

Other times, it's hormonal...Your hormones have to be high enough to not only get pregnant, but also hold the pregnancy. You may want to consult with your OBGYN and see if you can get a hormone panel done. Hormones such as progesterone, estrogen, and thyroid are all vitally important for conception.
If your hormones do need some support, you could try "Chaste Tree" or Vitex, which is an herb that not only supports you if you suffer from PMS, but it is a safe fertility herb that can help your levels go up without having to take creams or oral bio-identical hormones. It also from my experience doesn't have side effects because it is supporting the hormones you already have and restoring them to balance.
Also acupuncture can be very helpful in stimulating fertility.
If your OB won't help you with a blood test to take a peek at your hormones, then seek someone else out or look for a hormone clinic near you.
Don't give up, with the right support you can get pregnant...
Blessings,
-M. R.

L.,

You have two children, so you are able to have children. You many be meant to only have the two.

Your comment about your employer concerns me. Sounds like two things or more may be going on:

1. Your employer values your work?
2. You don't repect your employer?

If you worked in a grocery store, would you expect fee groceries?

If you want additional help to become pregnant, you should see a fertility specialist...Although, I think you will probably become pregnant again without any new remedies.

Blessings....

Dear L.,
I hope that you will be successful in your attempt to get pregnant again, but I would go see a fertility specialist as opposed to asking your employer to assist you with this. Is he your primary doctor or are you just running this by him?
I worked for a very successful financial planner and advisor and although I recommended him to many clients, I never would have used his services personally. I didn't feel comfortable nor did I feel it was appropriate to divulge my assets and finances with my boss. There are some things that are simply my private business. All the info surrounding attempts to conceive and your medical history is pretty personal stuff.
I don't know that your employer is being selfish, it just seems to me there's a fine line there that would be best not crossed. That's just my opinion.
He already knows you're trying to get pregnant so I doubt he'll be shocked or offended if you see another doctor to discern what could be causing your difficulty.

Best wishes.

acupuncture works wonders for fertility. there is an acupuncture school in san jose called five branches where several of the practitioners even specialize in fertility. you might try that for a natural and affordable option.

Well, plenty of tequila shots worked for me. Twice!

Seriously, if you already have two, clearly infertility is not your issue... maybe just relaxing and having some fun with it will do the trick?

I would find another OBGYN as your personal dr., or go see a fertility specialist, and not go to your boss. What he is doing is illegal if he won't treat you as a patient because he doesn't want to loose you from having a baby. He should know that.

Are you following your cycles? Do you know when you ovulate? If you are and nothing is happening then I would start testing for other issues. It may not be you, but your hubby.

You may just need to go have a nice trip away with just your hubby and relax and enjoy eachother.

Good luck! Hope it all works out!

I got pregnant when my husband started taking a testosterone booster for weight lifting. Can't remember the name of it, but it was supposed to increase the natural production of testosterone. It's worked for a couple of freinds since. Good luck. Have lots of sex.

Hi L. -

This may seem like an off the wall suggestion, but I would encourage you to try Bikram Yoga. It is designed to flush the organs of the boy of all toxins and brings fresh oxygenated blood to them. I have seen remarkable health challenges cleared up or minimized because of this form of exercise. I don't know where you live, but you can go on line and google Bikram Yoga. My studio is Bikram Yoga Elk Grove, and is quite wonderful community.

My other suggestion is to start some whole food supplements to increase your vitamin, mineral and trace mineral absorption. I can share that with you if you like.

Good luck and God Bless.

Have you used OPKs to check your ovulation? Charted? Fertilityfriend.com is useful but I am not sure what to tell you unless you let me know what you have tried.

I also recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It will help you to determine if you are ovulating as well as when so you know the best time to conceive. The book can help you to determine a number of infertility issues if they are present. And no need to buy ovulation predictor kits or pregnancy tests when you chart!
Best of luck to you!

Hi L.--

It's simply not true that because you already have kids you cannot be infertile. It's called "secondary infertility" and it's quite common. The standard guideline is that if you are under 35, and you have been trying to conceive for a year without success, you should go see a fertility specialist. If you are over 35, see the fertility specialist after 6 months of trying. You can try acupuncture and herbs as well, but you may have a simple problem that can be solved easily with a few tests run by someone who knows what they are doing. For instance, have you monitored your ovulation or measured your luteal phase? If you have issues with either of those things, the remedies can be quite simple. I strongly encourage you to visit a fertility doc and get checked out. Good luck!
