I work full time and was wondering if there are any playgroups/moms groups that take place afterwork or on the weekends.

Look up The Parent Connection -- run through Scripps Hospital. They form playgroups. My sister in law is part of a working Mom's playgroup (kids now 2) -- it has been wonderful.

There are many playgroups in San Diego. We belong to Parent Connect through Scripps Hospital and the put together playgroups for age groups all around San Diego county. Our group is just the Carmel Valley area for babies born 2/1/08 to 9/1/08. We meet for 2 hours a week, have moms night outs, movie days, and just starting field trips. Most of the moms in our group are stay at home or part time workers. But there is also a Carmel Valley group for working moms too!

I am in san diego, but unfortunately my baby is only 8 weeks old. However, I'm desparately looking for someone in the area since I don't know anyone down here. I moved here to be near the baby's father but have a hard time making friends. If you find anything out about groups in our area would you mind sharing the information as well?
Definitely check out meetup.com. I belong to a group called the North County Inland Moms Meetup. Most of the meetups are during the day, but they often have weekend meetups and Mommy's Night Out ones too.
I know there are at least a few Working Mommy's Meetups in the area listed on meetup.com too.

Hi D. - you can check out MeetUp.com and search for parenting groups in your area. I've seen some specifically for working moms looking for weekend playdates.

My best advice for you is to check out both meetup.com and cafemom.com, theu both have playgroups for the san diego area listed. If you live near La Mesa Im also a good source of groups.
