Thanks for all the previous answers. Another question I thought of is what drinks do they serve, to put it mildly i'm a pepsi-holic. Do they serve pepsi, coke or both. They will weigh heavily what I want to bring in my backpack. :) Thanks again.

What can I do next?

You can take a cooler if you want but they get extremely heavy as the day progresses. I realized that all the drink areas and restaurants will give you a cup of ice at no charge. I pack 2-3 pepsi cans for my husband and ask for cups of ice. You can use it for water as well at the drink stations.

Have a great time!

They are Coke products. I had my SIL stop at Walmart and buy my a case of Pepsi that I kept in our hotel fridge.

You can also have it delivered to the hotel

It never occurred to me to ask one of the vendors for a cup of ice. That's brilliant, and no I'm not being sarcastic!

We went to Disney several years ago. We ate breakfast before we left for the day. We brought sandwiches, drinks, chips and fruit in a back pack. We just kind of accepted the fact that our drinks would be warm. We ate dinner out each day. By that time of day, it was nice to have someone else prepare the meal.

It gets so busy at the parks and the lines are so long that it was actually really nice to be walking somewhere and just decide to stop and eat a sandwich. We were with the extended family, so it was actually really nice to be able to do that since we were with a very indecisive family. (Can you tell they are my in-laws?)

I carried the backpack all day, and I really wasn't bothered too much by the weight. Just the one kid at the time, but he was in diapers!

If it were me with older kids, I would pack drinks, sandwiches, fruit, chips and a packet of baby wipes. I think I will be buying baby wipes for the rest of my life. They just really come in handy!

Have fun!

Edtied: Wow all the blogs and advice sites say they don't allow hard coolers so i stand corrected by the natives, I also heard no carpi sun straws and plastic straw wrappers at Animal kindgom, is that part true or not??

i have researched an just watned to say if no one else did, that you can't bring hard sided coolers but soft sided ones are ok.

They serve Coke products no Pepsi.

I live here in central Florida (20 minutes away from WDW) and I strongly suggest that you drink water most of the time. The heat is not just the sun and humidity, it's thousands of peoples body heat all in the same place.

Also you can bring small to medium size rolling coolers. I see people with them all the time.
