Yep, I would take her to the doctor. Do you have her on a nebulizer? It sounds like this would help.

I work with a lady that has a daughter who was really sick when she was only 3 months old. She had to have her on a nebulizer and everything. All she did to improve her health was switch the products used in her house to all natural ones. It drastically improved her breathing. There's just a lot of toxins in the air and on our "stuff" that can really affect little babies. Just by making that simple switch over, can really help improve the air quality and rid your home of nasty toxic chemicals.

The croup is going around right now in our area. It makes kids have a really horrible cough. Anyway, definitely see your doctor.

Take that child to the doctor!!! Donot play around with that. My nephew is 2 years old.. he has asthma, and I see first hand how uncomfortable it makes him. He has a prescription inhaler. Please let that child be seen by the doctor... because if something were to happen to her (and let's pray to God that it doesn't)... you would not want that on your conscience. I will be praying for your daughter. God Bless your family

I have asthma, and as a child it was severe. I am one of the lucky ones who outgrew it as I got older. When I was young, my mom (who is an RN) would use steam when I started having problems breathing or coughing. She would boil water and have me breathe in the steam, or put me in a hot shower and leave the bathroom fan off. Most of the time, it helped. Also, try putting a humidifier in your daughters room and running it at night.

you poor baby girl i know what you are going through my daughter was diagnossed with astma at 6 months old.. she cannot take cough meds because they cause mucus to go into her lungs and she gets pnumonia very easily. she is now 2 and currently has pnumonia.. does your daughter take any kind of meds for it, like singulair? my daughter is on flovent which is an inhaler she has taken several oral steroids and also takes zyrtec... my advice to you is not to wait until it is too late if need be take her to the emergancy room because i was almost too late one time after taking my baby girl to the doc and to the er near me i finally drove to greenville memorial and by the time i got there she was blue and lifeless.. and ended up on life support for 1 week... let me tell you you dont want to go through that... get help now!!!!

Take her to the doctor, they will probably but her on some steroids and breathing treatments. Ask the doctor about putting her on soy or rice milk, and a wheat free diet. It has really worked with my son.

By all means take your baby to the doctor. you mentioned you are military...do you go to military clinics/doctors or do you Tricare Standard/Prime to Civillian? If you go the military route...use your own judment and instincts on the docs. When my daughter was very young (and myself as well), the military doctors treated our asthma as if we had bronchitis. Meaning, they would not diagnose us as asthmatics...they only gave us anti-biotics. Wonderful, huh? I ended up having to do what was then Champus and pay for a civillian "allergist/ENT" specialist for my daughter and then for myself or we would have eventually died I was told. My duaghter was put on allergy shots (kindergarten age)which immensly helped and she has since outgrown her asthma except for occasional excercise induced or when she gets bronchitis. Myself, the same. Until they are OLD ENOUGH to be allergy tested and put on injections...there is medications and a machine for breathing that a doctor can put your child on. Hang in there. Stay calm as can be too. this helps your child to remain calmer when he/she has an episode. If you are in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area...CHKD Hospital is awesome and also Dr. William Teachey on Independence Blvd, in VA BCH. Please seek medical attention immediately for your child though.
