Hello!

I am planning my daughter's 3 year old party in October, usually the weather is pretty decent to rent a jumper and hosted at a park.
Can you recommend a good park to host the event?
oppps forgot to mentioned I am in Emeryville but I can go anywhere in the East Bay!
Thank you!!
M.

Thank you!!!

Arlington Park in EC, on Arlington a few blocks north of Moeser, is fab, as long as it's a good weather day. Also, the newly revamped Cerrito Vista Park has an amazing new structure, a smaller "baby" structure, and a nice level picnic/jumper area nearby. It's also easy to find. On Moeser a few blocks east of Richmond. Both have washrooms, as long as someone in your party has the EC park washroom key. Albany parks are usually so busy, it might feel a little crowded, so these two EC park suggestions are probably better. Enjoy!

It would depend on where you are located. Just a general idea. It would be silly to suggest a park in Oakland if you live in San Jose.:)

How about Tilden in Berkeley near either the Little Farm where the kids can feed the animals (and there is an indoor bathroom in the nature building), near the Steam Train where they take a fun ride, or near the carousel which they can also ride? I think you can reserve a picnic site by calling. Here is the Website:

Hello M.: I know that the Castro Valley, Community center is a nice park. I have never seen a jumper there before so your would have to ask. I do know that you have to reserve the spot you want.
I am guessing that you don't have the room that's why you want it wlwse where- but besure that parents will drive their children out of the local area for them as some won't and that is a big expense have no shows.
Hope that you all have a great time and Happy Pre Birthday. Nana G

Shorebird park at the Berkeley Marina is a great place to go, as long as you can get someone to go early and "save" a picnic site, because it's first come, first served. The park is right on the bay, so kids can wade a little and look for crabs, and it's right next to Adventure Playground, (although they'd need to be a couple years older to really appreciate that), and it's right next to a Nature Center. There are sites with BBQ's, and sites with shade, and you can park either in the Cal Sailing Club parking lot, or drive around the park to the huge parking lot at Hs Lordship's restaurant, on the other side.

I highly recommend the Oakland Zoo Birthday in the Rides Area for a 3 yr old party. Had my son's 3rd & 4th Bday party there and it was very worth it!
